When will DX12 be available for the Sim and PC?

Hi there,
When will the DX12 supposed to be released? Any Info is greatly appreciated. TIA
I know that the XBOX is supposed to get it first…

Last I saw in the forums here someone posted from a Q/A that basically were not getting DX12 because DX11 can do it just as well so at this point it would be a waste of time and resources.

No problem, if you search it you can probably find the whole discussion in the forums still it wasnt that long ago.

I hope the DX12 update will not come anytime soon, don’t need another update tragedy.

So the “started” work on DX12 said on the feedback snapshot for a release this year isn’t happening?

It’s certainly in the pipeline, I don’t think the answer above is correct nor that in can be sourced from Asobo comments.
They’ve publicly stated that they are working towards DX12 for features such as ray tracing, and also stated that fixing grainy shadows/reflections will have to wait until that time.

It is still on their schedule for 2021…
You can see that in each and every dev road map / wish list, weekly published.

See Post #10

What they did say indeed is that DX12 will not be released in parallel with the XBOX version.
So there are two builts right now.

They will add it later and most probably add DX12 features from time to time instead of further performance improvements.

Well 1st it was everybody is getting it with this release. Then it was only Xbox will be getting in with this release and the PC people and will be getting in the Fall with the Top Gun release. And then there was the post I mentioned above ‘allegedly from a recent Q/A’, that said no ones getting it right now because…but it will be kept in mind for ‘down the road’.

Dont know, dont really care, as long as the game runs again Im happy.

Well the development snapshot clearly says DX12 - Started - Release 2021
