Where are the "Custom" keybindings for the cockpit views stored?

Hello,

Just that, where are the “Custom” keybindings for the cockpit views stored?

I recently updated my “Games” Data HD (4TB to 8TB) and transferred all the data.

The game FORCED me to reinstall the whole shebang, plus all the Content.

When all was said and done, some 8 hours later, I noticed ALL my aircraft view settings were gone! :frowning:

These are the settings when in cockpit mode/view you can set using the Ctrl-Alt-t#

The default views are loaded in the standard Ctrl-# configuration.

But the custom ones I set are all gone, for every aircraft.

Where are those “Custom” settings stored?

Please assist if possible.

Thank you in advance.

C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes

Then look into whichever ac you need.

I set the custom view with Ctrl+Alt+n (n is 0,1,2…0) and recall it with Alt+n. Are we talking about the same thing? The settings are saved in a Cameras.CFG file. Each aircraft has it’s own .cfg file. For example, the path for my PMDG 737-600 is C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-600. Cameras.cfg files can be copied between aircraft. The exact path may vary but they will be a a LocalCache aircraft folder.

Yes! Exactly.

Hmmm… so the fact that MSFS “Reinstalled” itself after a HD change, means that all the Cameras.cfg are gone from my pre-reinstalled version.

So, essentially, I have to re-do ALL my aircraft cockpit custom views! :frowning:

Except this time, I’ll have to build-out a master folder with every aircraft I customize and copy that aircraft Cameras.cfg for the next time MSFS decides to reinstall the whole game again.

UNFREAKIN’ BELIEVABLE! :frowning: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Thank you for chimming in
