It seems that the Top Gun update seems to have made the Weekly Activities unable to appear… there’s an achievement to complete a Weekly, but the box/location that users suggest it would appear is always just the Top Gun actvities (top left box, home screen)
From my experience, after a World Update or Sim Update, there will be a new “Weekly Event”
However, I don’t call them “Weekly Events” since they are not updated weekly. I call them “Monthly Events” since they normally are updated during “WU or SU”

Whilst also doing my first ILS landing so win-win

They’re only released every SU and then thrown away for some reason. The last 2 events don’t register on Xbox.

Hi there. Do you still have the maverick tile top left when starting up MSFs ? I am not able to access spotlight events any more. Perhaps you can help me ? Thank you

The Maverick tile is still there for me. Not sure why it’s not showing for you but it wouldn’t help you with Decathlon anyway since none of the Maverick activities count toward Achievement progress.
Soaring, Lake Como, and Helicopter, New York also don’t progress the Achievement.
3 SUs in a row now (not to mention 3 WUs and 1 CU) without a single challenge that progresses the challenge for Xbox users.

Thank you broseph. I have the maverick tile. I thought there might be a bug in my game because someone wrote that you have to do all discovery flights and a new event will pop up instead of maverick. Some one wrote a entebbe landing challenge, but this does not appear on my pc. I think Asobo does not support this achievement atm. I am stuck 4/10. the Miramar challenge did. count

The Entebbe challenge did not work for Xbox users: either in the beta or in the full SU release. You didn’t miss anything.
Miramar was the last challenge that worked properly as well. That was SU7 which came out Nov. 18th last year. So yeah, it’s been a year since Xbox users have been able to complete a “WEEKLY CHALLENGE”. We have to wait months until SU12 to see if there will be a working challenge.

Ah ok. But for me as pc user it is the same pity……I have no possibility to fly older challenges. They are gone…..
I don’t understand why they throw content away.
Call of Duty posts daily challenges. Battlefield posts weekly challenges. While I get that Asobo is a smaller studio, they could at least post monthly challenges.
OR
If they can’t keep up with it, then that’s fine, but then get rid of them altogether and either:
a) restore previous challenges in the Activities tab
b) make 40th anniversary activities count toward the Achievement
c) change the Achievement to something users can access/are physically able to do.
Leaving users out to dry for a year, without any acknowledgment of the issue isn’t cool.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today. Spotlight challenges are periodic events that only last for a certain time. There will be future challenges released, but unfortunately there is no option to redo old challenges.
So we should have a small hope for the next su ?

Given that there hasn’t been a working challenge since SU7, I personally don’t have much hope. If they didn’t do a challenge for SU11 that just came out, I have no reason to think they’ll fix it in SU12.
Not that they care, but I’m not spending another penny in the marketplace until the issue is fixed. Maybe it’ll be addressed in a few years.
