Where is the option to download scenery/airplanes instead of streaming? And where can you disable addons?

I thought we could download scenery/airplanes but there is no option. Streaming (caching) and downloading (to have a permanent install) isn’t the same.

And where can you disable addons?

I think it downloads by default into the rolling cache.

I have both LOWI ORBX and Inibuilds and I can’t disable the msfs default or either of the two I bought. Wtf

I dont even understand what you can do in the “My Library” section. I dont see any install, update or uninstall / delete options.

Is it only for viewing what is installed?

Marketplace is not yet online, probably has to do with that in connection

I distinctly remember this being mentioned in one of the streams too. Hopefully its something that will come in one of the early patches.

I know 100% that it was being able to download and not stream. Because it was one of the questions they answered about this topic. And it would have been a no pre-order for me if it was only streaming.

Ok, we can’t buy or download stuff, but why can’t we disable stuff… Ugh - I have scenery conflicts in EGPB and cliffs all over the place - can’t complete career ILS exam

hope you learned your lesson and wont preorder a game ever again.

the “tradition” of preordering games came from when games were actual physical disks and with big releases, many stores didnt have enough copies, so people started to preorder games to be sure to get a copy on day one.
Now that games are pretty much digital only, i really dont understand why anyone would preorder a game. It really doesnt make sense to me. Its not like they will run out of copies lol

The options are even partially included, I wonder if that broke when they decided to delay the marketplace. Hopefully it comes back soon, could care less about the terrain but I would love to keep the aircraft locally (and preferably also the common airport scenery objects if that’s an option?)

This is going to be catastrophic if they don’t give the option to at least deactivate, failing to uninstall content like in 2020 in the content manager when we have third-party addons. But good god why did they want to stream everything, already on 2020 the servers were already at their bandwidth limit for Bing data. We simmers have invested some money to have top-of-the-line hardware, we can easily have large capacity SSDs. Let them give us the choice during installation to store locally to those who want it, ■■■■ it. ■■■■, I’m disillusioned.
