It does look great! I suspect it’s quite costly to run which is probably why it didn’t take off so much as a civil aircraft ( it was intended to fly V-bomber crews plus a groundcrew to dispersal airfields so running costs were probably not a factor ) - but I suspect the RAF Bulldog contract was more important when it came to allocating production space. The more I look at it the more I want to fly it, though, that & one of the more powerful Aero Commander 500 variations.
Anything from Airbus. But hopefully the A330 or A350, as they are gorgeous.
I don’t trust the in game version anymore, because it was so flawed after release.
I love Saab-built aircraft, (maybe a bit biased bc I live in Sweden) so I would love to see the JAS-39C Gripen in MSFS someday, I heard some third party devs were developing one but I don´t really know that much about it tbh.
Howver, I also really like old warbirds, so the classic Viggen, Draken or Lansen would also make a fantastic addon!
These like to fall out of the sky… In Canada we described the Sea King as 10,000 small parts flying together in loose formation.
I agree on all the SAAB jets but the Lansen in particular is beautiful to me! The Gripen is a close second of my favorites.
For real? The Sea King has been a true work horse in Norway. One of them was the “world fleet leader” and had flown more than 18.500 hours in 2021. The one on the image below was built in 1972 (50 years old), and was taken late 2019 when it received an upgrade:

I sailed for over 20 years and at the end of its service life, the average flight/maintenance ratio was around 1 hour of flight would need over 50 hours of maintenance. LOL
For real?!
Comet 4C and Herom
So the real question is, was the helo in the picture coming into land on that ship or pick it up and airlift it?!
I am joking of course but as someone who spent time in the “tin can navy” I can truly appreciate just how small that ship really is!
We otter have one of these at some point too -
I’d love to see some more classic British airliners like :
- BAC 1-11
- Hawker Siddeley Trident
- Vickers VC-10
Just flight really impressed me with the 146, I think they’d make some really impressive British airliners
We have the Otter/Totter coming in.
JF have a VC-10 for P3D, but I’d imagine it’d need a new model for MFS at least. A 1-11 would argue with their Fokkers probably, but a Trident 3 with all it’s slight oddness & masses of antique automation ( autoland, 60s style! ) would be quite a thing to fly.
yes I saw that post and am looking forward to your effort on both the radial and the turbine versions…
I look forward to any progress images you all might have to share in the coming weeks -
I would love to see the 50’s warbirds that Virtavia/Alphasim did, such as the F11F Tiger, F7U Cutlass, F4D Skyray, RA-5C Vigilante, B-36, etc. ported over to MSFS.
I’d be happy with the existing P3D V5 level of detail recreated in the MSFS native engine and updated flight models (and clear advertising to that effect), but alas, there are “standards bearers” for MSFS who would not let that happen and who would likely eviscerate any publisher who tried to release a native SDK model port without MSFS-standard details…
IMHO, I’d much rather have lower-detail classic planes (that are clear about that fact) available in MSFS than not have them at all. (Because most of the planes I mention above aren’t going to have a big enough market to warrant the time and cost to create the detail demanded by vocal posters here. Imagine the cost of doing a B-36 at the detail demanded by the texture mafia!)
But after the way even respected posters here treated Golden Age Simulations for daring to release a niche aircraft with a more basic level of detail, I certainly understand why this isn’t happening.
So I’ll just have to hope we at least get Carenado’s T-34.
Without upper wing,
looks like dc3 heh
It’s funny you mentioned that because the old versions didn’t have retractable landing gear and I guess with the intro of the dc3 the later models got retractable gear and it really dose look like the dc3 a bit
Douglas DC-3. That plane would honestly make my MSFS experience complete, on the Xbox. Loving the Sim, otherwise.
Welcome to the forum!
Happy times for you are coming soon.
