Currently flying around Vienna in the TL3000, very nicely done, St Stephens Cathedral is good.
Anyone find the ferris wheel (the Reisenrad) in Prater Amusement Park made famous in the film ‘The Third Man’ with Orson Wells?
Hi,
To get to the Riesenrad fly fom the Stephansdom (St. Stephens Cathedral) approx. heading 110 towards the Danube river. Cross the Danube canal and look for a large park. This is the Prater. You should find the Riesenrad nearby. The park is located between the Danube canal and the Danube river.
Thanks for that, found it.
I also found 2 Ferris wheels in Prater Park !
Does anyone know if that is the case IRL?
Methinks, the Simulator is ‘the gift that keeps on giving’ …. 1 in real life, 2 in Sim Land. Excellent!!
In the chopper tomorrow for a deep dive.
I swear the trees in Cordoba look better, the conifers look more real. And lots of shrubs in Spanish cities.
Down the coast SW from Malaga, check out
Marbella, PG from west of San Pedro de Alcantara to east of Marbella!
I can definitely see the PG area on the globe once zoomed in a bit, don’t know if it’s been so obvious on the map any other place.
I think I have to agree with you on that one!
Flown there and yes the PG is really good. @Baracus250 pointed it out in his first Top 10 list as Malaga, Spain and just how far the PG went along the coast
I’ve noticed same, possibly not the latest BING Maps data
Thanks for another list, I can see myself flying around 2020 for quite some time to come.
I doubt I would have explored the world as much as I will, courtesy of this list.
Not finished in Vienna yet, Schonbrunn Palace was a beautiful place when I was last there (IRL) and I always fancied a trip down the Danube, Vienna to Budapest….then explore Budapest.
I’m very content at the momemt.
No problem I’ve been a bit busy this week and not had as much time as I’d of liked
I’m still not finished in Vienna too! Find myself just wanting to fly only there ATM. Might change in the future who knows
Just done a spot around Vienna :
Surprised it’s at the very bottom of the list …
But then I haven’t flown Vienna in any real detail.
- looking forward to other places if this is propping them up.
Anyone done Prague …. not spotted it on the list.
After Budapest, I’m reliving Prague.
I can remember flying in Prague not so long ago and I wasn’t all that impressed, but I didn’t Manual Cache it at the time so might do that and have another look.
Brisbane is really well done IMO. My home city of Liverpool is quite out dated but quite a nice broad area too
I thought Prague was better than Budapest but both are good. What surprises me is when I hear people say Dublin isn’t good. I thought it was great. It just goes to show we all have different things we look for in the PG. For me its intricate water cutouts (like the marshy areas on Floridas west coast), anywhere the vegetation makes cool patterns, and things like quarries or cool looking mountains and cliffs.
Waco TX, Dublin , Allentown PA, and Washington DC region.
Where is everybody?
Got my fall foliage loaded, and then found
Hinterer Brunnenkogel, in Austria, with an amazing animated sky tram that goes wayyyy down the mountain!
Finally found another PG city,
Graz, Austria
Small with great detail, better trees and a palace
This is a nice one! Pretty good details and lovely undulating scenery.
Tentacles of PG do stretch out pretty far down all the valley splinters from the centre of the city. The trains in the large yard near the centre are REALYL clear compare to how PG trains normally get mangled up.
I would give it a 10, 11 or 12 on the new scale but have not finished looking around yet (out of time).
Hey up everyone. Apologies for the absence. Had a death in the family and haven’t had the time or been in the mood to reply or update the list. I’ll get back into it very soon!
This one will be the perfect place for me to start so thanks for the suggestion @Snowleopard3295
And thanks @Baracus250 for the review
Life is short! Gotta live everyday as if it were your last!
and with that time to fire up the Sim and explore
Happy flying everyone!
Oh mate! I’m so sorry to hear that!!!
Just finished exploring every nook and cranny. It is way bigger than it first seemed!
Actually of a very good quality everywhere (for PG!) and some nice architecture to see.
Did you find the MASSIVE queue of trucks waiting to get into a tiny Truckstop area? No idea what is going on there but looks like they will be there for days!
Actually the way the photography was done you can see the same area must have been covered in 2 passes of the aerial photo plane, and it has merged 2 trucks on top of each other where they moved forwards A BIT but not enough to clear their own length by the next pass!!!
sorry for your loss
I was wondering where you were. Good to see you back.
AirRhodesia, sorry you lost someone, and glad to see you back.
PG for today is
Magdeburg, Germany.
Small but extends out a bit. Some nice details and neighborhoods, but some areas look a little plain to me.
Thanks all. Slowly getting back into it now
Sim is fired up and I’ll check out your suggestion now.
Will report back soon and will do an update on the list this weekend
