I really enjoy flying the ATR, however the last few flights have ended in a CTD or frozen screens.
Is there a stable variant and if so, which one?

i love the atr, but unfortunately i should think that the answer is none. The different variants are only on the 3d model side of things, and maybe some tweak in the handling/physics. But as it relates to frozen displays and cockpits. I’m pretty sure they are all the same.
Yesterday it froze on me while pushing back. (??) that has to be a record of some kind
granted, i like to take my time doing my preflight… but still.. come on man..

I flew the 42 a couple of days ago in 2024 with a Marketplace-purchased livery.
All went well until I landed. Reducing the engines to idle resulted in the AC generators and mechanical hydraulic pumps going offline, which affected the brakes while trying to slow the aircraft on rollout.
Once I turned on the crossfeed for the hydraulic system, the electric pump was able to provide pressure to the brakes and nose wheel steering.
Then, when I parked, I noted the engine ignition annunciators were flashing repeatedly.
Other than those two oddities (and the existing issues with the EFB and loading the aircraft), the ATR worked quite well for me.
Next flight, I’ll make turning on the hydraulic crossfeed a part of my landing prep SOP.
