i am playing mainly on msfs2024. I am trying to figure out which one i should upgrade 5800x3d to 7900x(7945HX), i know its a custom mainboard or my gpu 4070 super to 7900xtx. Which one gives me better performance , i am playing ultra getting about 30 fps at 1440p. i would like to play at 4k or atleast 40-45 fps.

5800x3d + 4070 super is faster than 7900 (not x3d) + 7900xtx
Team green for GPU
Team red for CPU
I would go for the 7800X3D

i have other kind of information, 7900xtx is way faster than 4070 super. Do i have some kind of failed components getting only 30 fps with cessna and 1440p. Should be getting 50 fps , so something is wrong in my system , but only in msfs other games work flawlessly.
Dont have the means for 7800x3d, it cost twice as much as 7900x, team green no available at the moment and the prices are ridiculous.
i only have a520 motherboard, could that be the case. 64 GB of ram i have
You can use DLSS 4 with 4070 super.

7900xtx is 60 teraflops card and 4070 super is 35 teraflops, 7900xtx is even faster than 4080 and its available to purchase, only 830 euros

Anyone got 5800x3d and 7900XTX, hows your performance and which resolution on ultra?
AMD X3D and an Nvidia if you want to use RT shadows and proper FG implementation. AMD requires a bit more tweaking and if you’re not tech savvy I don’t recommend.
Not sure want your budget is but the 4090 is currently the second best for 4K but those are hard to find @msrp. I would recommend that over a 7900tx.
Your only other option is the 5090 but those are scalped atm!
proper FG lol, i dont have that, i get artifacts even on DLSS 4 with 4070 super. Thats obvious that you dont know any amd card users. Benchmarks i have seen 7900 XTX is even faster than 4080, so i am ready to buy that. I will not buy 2000-3000 euro 4090 or 5090.
I have 5800x3d and 3080Ti and I can get easy 50 fps with all the small planes. With FG that is 100. I am incensitive and also indifferent to the artifacts.

I have 5800X3D and 7900XTX; I run at 4K with ultra preset and set the “dynamic settings” in MSFS2024 to target 45 fps, and am reasonably happy with the smoothness/speed balance.

I have a 3090 Ti, so I can’t do frame gen. But I also get good perfomance overall. DLSS 4 Quality and Preset J has pretty much eliminated all artifacting.
That’s a you problem if you can’t afford Nvidia greatest gpu and no the 7900xtx isn’t really faster than a 4080. It’s barely a hair faster in some games and looses in everything. The only thing superior about the 7900xtx is the vram.
I won’t dare buy another Radeon gpu.
