Which OTC Relief for Nausea and Vomiting do you recommend when 30 fps VR releases? 30 fps! MSFS can't run with more than 30 fps in VR!

btw. i dont wanna use OTC. i was joking… im talking about how msfs will run in 30 fps in vr.

Start slow. The moment you start feeling uneasy close your eyes for a minute to see if it goes away. You might want to limit time in VR to 10-20 minutes a time to allow yourself to get your VR-legs sorted.

My first VR experience was in a racing sim. It didn’t take me long to spin out of control, and when I did I held my eyes open. I had severe nauseau for the next hour. So my biggest advice is: if the world moves around too quickly, close your eyes!

Ginger chews candy or anything ginger.

Maybe look outside the window? I heard that it helps a lot when you can see the horizon in VR.

flyboyf117 is right… the recommended thing is ginger.
Ginger biscuits are usually recommended (cookies)

Personally I’ve only ever felt nauseous once while using VR… it was a hot day. I’d just had my lunch, & I was riding on of those big spinning rides in “No Limits 2” (coaster simulatior)

aer you saying in msfs you dont need 90 fps? @G7RTA

depending on where you live and local laws

.so where do i have to live to get a gpu and cpu which are 3 times stronger than the current high end build?

yeah. so where is this strong cpu and gpu youre talking about?

I’m confused. I didn’t say anything about FPS?

You and me, I thought this Post was about the medical effect of VR, and medication, not the FPS of the PC to help reduce those effect by faster FPS.

Maybe I get a precipitation from my doctor for 120 FPS’s, and take 4 a day – (a months supply)

Must be careful not to overdose, or I may burn out my memory !!

VR noob: Accustom yourself slowly with more “ground based” games (with teleportation/snap turn). Limit your time in VR. Listen to your stomach.

it wont reach 90 fps or anything close.
vr impossible

I’m curious as to how bad nausea will be. I feel like detail will have to be turned way down in VR to get acceptable frame rates.

I’ve had my Vive for 3-4 years now. I’m pretty accustomed to VR. On my old computer (i7 4700 + 1070), there were instances where my frame rate would drop under 60, and I would start getting a little nauseous. One game in particular that caused this was AeroflyFS. I had a hard time with that one if frame rates dropped. Now on my new(er) rig with a 2080, I haven’t had any VR issues to date. All of my stuff runs 70-90 fps at full detail and it’s buttery smooth.

What concerns me is that MSFS can’t even hit a solid, sustained 60 fps on high end, top spec rigs on a single 1440p monitor, I’m not hopeful that they’ll be able to optimize it to hit 60+ on dual screens of 1200p and up without significantly turning down graphics. It’s either dumbed down graphics, or low frame rates.

Nobody is forcing anyone to play in VR. It will be a option for those who want to use it, those who don’t can continue to play in pancake as before.

i dont see anyone in here against vr
