Which parts of the world would you most like to see improved?

This is very true. Forgot which airport I was at but it was all over the taxiway and the parking area also - and this was a paved airport.

What part of the World would I like to see improved ?
Under bridges with missing spans. Seems like that is where all the automobiles drive now.
Amazing to see cars driving on water, under missing bridge spans. Been that way since release.

Bing Maps - seriously, improves the whole sim for everyone.

Bing Maps with high resolution is a great idea because it makes the sim overall PERFECT looking, even in areas without huge SU World updates.

And it´s also an easy and quick solution providing optional high-resolution satellite images.

To answer the OP’s question, anywhere where there are mountains, canyons, or cliffs. X-Codr Designs’ Sedona Red Rocks really shows me the potential of this sim when it comes to natural scenery.

My initial answer to the question was “all of it” and by that I mostly mean the color grading of the textures which often include fluorescent greens or overly bright fields. The ground textures in PG areas of Florida have good coloration imo. Detroit and Chicago both look good as do many others. Some say they look brown but thats largely just because the surrounds are too fluorescent green.

But the other answer: South America and Canada and New Zealand

Any depiction of Arctic ice sheet would be good - currently flying over the North Pole it’s just blue sea. (One might be cynical and suggest that given enough time and the SIM won’t need any work…)

Agree 100%.

I have my own selfish list of places that I’d like to see updated, but I’d much rather see an update that focused on updating some of the items you mentioned across the whole world.

Roads in particular look terrible no matter where you’re flying. It’s odd to me that the sim knows where roads are and is able to place cars and even road markings (ex. Centerlines), on them, but can’t comprehend that roads should be…paved?

If the algorithm can more or less generate a decent replication of a mall for example, or differentiate a home from a barn solely based on bing data/satellite images of rooftops, then surely the sim can generate paved roads. I don’t get it but there must be a reasonable explanation.

The Pacific Northwest: Oregon, Washington, British Columbia. Too many rivers and lakes that show up as fields of grass or that have completely wrong elevations.

Some rivers that have a bit of water show up as just narrow straight lines with the occasional angle.

And of course there is a ton of patches where clouds in the ground textures were replaced with the awful default textures.

It’s a real shameful look for one of THE most important bush flying arenas in the world.

How much of the terrain, shoreline, photogrammetry and elevation issues fall under work by Blackshark.ai?

It’s funny nobody mentions Blackshark, but aren’t they also part of the development, especially of turning flat satellite images in to 3D trees and buildings?

The one thing that I would really like fixed is the way they changed the night time lighting into a Disney fairyland.

In particular remote roads in the wilderness should have the occasional car headlight and remote main roads should have intermittent strings of moving car lights - not street lights extending hundreds of miles into the remote desert.

South East Asia needs a huge amount of work done to it.

Yes to Greenland, Iceland and the airports in northern Scotland. For us that like to fly GA planes to Europe and return, some of the necessary stops are not up to par. Especially in Greenland. Most of Canada, northern Canada and Alaska, need work.

UK definitely needs more work! Especially the Lake District, just been over there in my milviz 310 pretty poor in lots of areas. Does it need a better mesh to sort the hills out I wonder  I have orbx on for central and north UK which adds a bit but there’s a ton of areas that are poor and the cliff edges on the coasts are shocking really takes away from the enjoyment I try and avoid coastlines in UK there terrible!

My back garden looks bad aswell but might just need the grass cutting :+1:

The Amsterdam area has been pretty bad lately. It would be nice to see a polish there. And I agree that Canada and Alaska need more affection from Asobo. Especially since every week I fly to Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.

Central and South America.
