On MSFS 24 (PC) I’m having the old issue from 2020 where a white border would appear around avionics screens when looking around the cockpit using an xbox controller.
I have the two settings that were added to fix this in 2020 turned off, i.e. “show the white dot cursor in freelook” (off) and “allow 2d cursor on all peripherals” (off). Interestingly I’ve noticed there’s two instances of the first of those two settings that do not seem to toggle each other, one under General > Flight Interface > Global Settings. The other under Accessibility > Effects and Animation > Cursor Settings.
I have experienced this issue on every aircraft I’ve tried over the last couple of evenings (just coming back to 24 after several months), the Fenix A320, PMDG 777 and iniBuilds A350. I do remember it being an issue with the Fenix around the time that they first made the 320 available in 24.
Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.
The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.
If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.
If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.
All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.
I’m having the exact same problem when playing MSFS 24 on a controller, the white borders around the avionic screens also happen on any of the default aircraft in the sim and are not exclusive to addons only.
If you are able to reproduce the issue without any addons installed, using 1st party aircraft, then you can create a bug report without deleting the provided template and filling in the key fields. They are important for the devs and users that want to reproduce/contribute to it.
