I understand it is more interesting to add new features or to address really challenging bugs (like to simulate the spin on Cessna 172 in a perfect way) but I really not understand why Asobo can’t allocate resources to address easy bugs that are really annoying
Just to make same examples: CTD while enabling usb devices during game loading, history of airports not refreshed in the world map, world map not allowing to add any position in a flight plan, random change of settings (taxi ribbons display just reverts to OFF sometimes), etc.
Moreover there are a lot of easy enhancements that could make the experience more interesting (like a feature to find in the world map a friend or a flight) that are not taken in consideration
Is that from the Dev Q&A? I’m confused about that statement (in text only, right?) since it didn’t match what they said. There are tree LOD changes, updates to the LOD slider, flight model changes (both to individual planes and overall) including better roll acceleration for acrobatics planes, and SDK changes to flaps/slats etc. Lots of stuff that doesn’t really fit in a “mostly bug fixes” release.
This is not really a bug. MSFS detects presence of USB devices during loading phase.
Simply enable them before launch, it’s only a few seconds more.
And anyway much more less time than restarting from a CTD.
Aviation is also that: following procedures, doing things at right time in the right order.
Release date for SU6 is planned for the end of October.
Less than one month from today.
And they began to recruit testers only yesterday.
Adding time needed to test, report issues, time for MS/Asobo to sort problems, to find a solution for each, to retest, and finally to approve and integrate in the code, I’m not sure less than 30 days are enough.
Who are they kidding ? It makes no sense !
Another issues factory to come…
