I have done a few liveries for MSFS. I have noticed that if you go to Profile and My Hanger, some aircraft have the little aircraft icon in the top tight Highlighted. This makes it easy, using the right mouse key to move around the aircraft and see how your repaints are doing. But with other aircraft, the little aircraft icon ISN’T illuminated, making it much harder to view your results. Does anyone know why this is? I’ll try and insert two hyperlinks which will show what I mean.
Do people actually use the hangar to view planes?

It’s about the aircraft size.
If the aircraft is big the free camera will likely clip through the hangar or its 3D objects so the functionality is deactivated.
