Let us hope and pray they fix the problem with adjusting, then saving the settings for the hardware, Like joystick, throttle and rudder.
Once again an expensive load of ■■■■, having beautiful graphics and not able to alter controller fine tuning is not acceptable for me, flying is twitchy and makes a mockery of my ability and I’m not prepared to spend £100’s on the game then the same again on a flight stick, how glad I am that I subscribed to game pass ultimate first, at least I can cancel my subscription with only a loss of £15 !
Is it just ignorance of MS or Asobo ?
It would be interesting to have the sales numbers for msfs 2024.
Do they have to withdraw that product ?
Meanwhile I have got doubts.
Bye, walter. Take it easy.
For us it’s “only” a game. But I love it.
I’m going to be “that guy” and say: “I’m so glad I got on the SPAD.NeXT train two years ago.”
It’s taken me that long to get beyond the raw beginner stage, but it’s starting to come together, and now all my in-sim control profiles except for keyboard and mouse are blank. And I’m doing some really cool things with my peripherals.
There’s really no subsitute for the granular control SPAD gives you.
Is the FS2024 Controls UI good? Not to me it isn’t. To me it’s simply awful. YMMV, and if you like it, I’m honestly happy for you.
Should they have given users a way to import their FS2020 bindings? Absolutely, resoundingly, and most definitely a hard YES!
Is it a shame that Xbox users can’t use SPAD, and have to deal with the above? You bet…
I’ve got my head around the control settings.
Per plane was the critical step forward.
My one complaint is massive overloading of keyboard and button commands, plus a super complicated camera system.
Those commands need simplifying and camera control in the cockpit is a mess.
As for importing FS20 bindings unfortunately, as Serg said, it is impossible and also undesirable as FS20 can never support per plane settings.
MobiFlght and AirManager have supported per plane for many years. With the improved functionality of hardware like the WinWing low cost** Airbus FCU and MCDU we need per plane settings. For example the FCU can be programmed for GA.
** low cost today. Tarrifs may increase the cost. Don’t shoot the messenger
The most frustrating thing about 2024.
YEAH I can bind them… but they don’t STICK.
In career mode, each time I pick a mission and it’s different plane I need to reset them. ITS SO ANNOYING. I have them set to DEFAULT (but they never are) and I have them set to APPLY TO ALL AC. And they don’t.
I have to remap the controllers (Winwing) about 6 times per play… I typically get 6 missions done. SO most frustrating thing is GRINDING the repetitive missions in the same 3-4 planes, two of which I hate.
I can and have done it -, but they don’t STICK. I have to do it each time I run the sim and often many times during my career missions if it changes the plane. Even though I have them set to default and ALL PLANES. they do not stick as set.
I don’t have any problems .
My Presets always are saved.
Try this:
- Choose an airplane
- For each of the 3 Presets, duplicate and give each one the same name. I use my flight stick name.
- Be sure all 3 are displayed when “Save and Back”.
- Choose another airplane.
- Choose the original airplane again.
- Presets should display like you set them.
Select these 3 Presets for each airplane you select.
Note:
I don’t do career missions.
Maybe the missions change the Presets.
idk
Just seen this in April 2025! lol - but you know i have held off trying 2024 for this exact reason, the 2020 experience with the Fenix/FBW was amazing with literally plug and play on my TCA T/M Captains set.. 2024 - not a F**** hope, everything was either not compatible or was beta at best - as for plug and play, that is a laugh, the controller config is terrible and i still can’t get my landing gear to toggle up or down, brakes still not axis adjustable (or im being thick) after hours and hours i managed to get my throttles to atleast match detent but only in Fenix and that was hit and miss for systems to work… the iniBuilds A320 is nothing compared to FBW/Fenix either so yea.. what is your thoughts now after a few months?
hi mate - this is the sensitivity - set everything to 0 basically and you might find it uses the full axis length.. i had this too..
