Why Did OnAir Nerf Dreamliner 787-10 to 4800 Range?

Can someone tell me why OnAir would nerf the MFS Premium Dreamliner 787-10 down to 4800 range and raise price to 300 million? I have been told by support over there that it is because the stock plane was nerfed to 4800 range give or take 100nm.

So this leaves me scratching my head wondering. Why would the stats go so far down and the cost so high up? Their engine spec says 533 knots but I just took the Dreamliner out and she barely lands full flaps you have to push so much power. So I am a bit confused here. According to Boeing none of these stats are correct. Why is it so hard to model an aircraft with proper stats with so much source material available? Also why keep blaming others for your bad math? Two wrongs don’t make it right…

If Asobo did nerf the plane so badly again why? This is a premium Aircraft that has just gotten worse with time now it has almost been completely devalued yet the price goes up. Are people wearing their masks too long?

The airplane’s unparalleled fuel efficiency and range flexibility enables carriers to profitably open new routes as well as optimize fleet and network performance

Just doesn’t make any sense at all to me…

in regards to your first point, the 787 was updated in MSFS, this caused an extra aircraft to be made and we are offering free swaps or reimbursements to this amount of money. This means players can get the aircraft for free as a swap due to being unable to merge the old one with the new one. The range affects the AI pilots, and this is not set by the moderation board, or any human, although there have been pushes by myself to have more control over the range and other features. The price increased due to the correct stats that Asobo had implemented for the 787. The 17103NM range was previously very inaccurate, as I understand this one may be inaccurate too, however only by an extra 100NM, so still siding the more generous side of the range.

I’m sorry but how is this being generous when the plane is supposed to be 6,345 nmi (11,750 km) and the price went up by about 150 million capping out at 300 million for the new nerfed plane. On top of this they are forcing players to swap to the new plane or will lose their current plane(s) entirely.

Tbh this is better asked on OnAir discord.

I beg to differ since the reason given was that Asobo has recently also nerfed the Dreamliner 787-10 to 4800 range. Which again begs the exact same question why? My next question though would be can anyone here tell me the current exact range of the stock Dreamliner 787-10 right now?

To be honest I’m not sure if the current stock plane has been nerfed as of yet. However if it hasn’t then OnAir has given us the stats of the nerf that is coming in the next update. Asobo either gave them (Aerosoft) the stats or it’s on the current private test server for developers only. I’m just trying to make sense of it all. From a Premium Deluxe perspective and from the OnAir perspective. This is not a new issue either. From launch we have had Asobo planes with incorrect stats and if we are changing them then shouldn’t we be using real world numbers and not fantasy numbers?

Again we are talking about stock Asobo planes here so please keep the discussion open they are both related.
