Why did you get rid of my B for Auto Altimeter set?

So, for whatever reason Asobo and MS decided to completely redo the key bindings for the default key board. Which is fine, I figure out my quick snap cockpit views.

The biggest glaring issue is that for 4 years now Ive gotten used to pressing “B” to automatically set my altimeter to the current local barometric pressure. Thanks to my extensive PMDG 737 use, getting the dfault 737 MAX started, setup for flight and programming a flight plan was super easy.

While trying to descend into my destination, coming of Standard Altimeter to local pressure, pressing B did nothing. At my known landing altitude of 1100’, the 737 was telling me I was 450 below sea level…

PLEASE bring back being able to press “B” to auto set local altimeter pressure.

Yes it’s annoying, but can’t you just change your keyboard mapping?

Ive looked for the setting, but typing in altimeter into the search box for the control settings doesnt bring up the option.

Set Altimeter?

Think they changed it to comma “,” to set the pressure.

They moved it to key M

Yes you can. You can even select the old 2020 style mapping because they have provided that.

2024 needs a Bulls button, so we can better find all that wildlife out there. Oops! LOL

It’s now the “,” (comma) key, to help you remap it or learn it.

Also, you can select MSFS 2020 keyboard in controls settings to use the old keystrokes.

What is the name of the action? Is it Set Altimeter?

There are actually THREE settings for Set Baro Altimeter.

This is the one you want to set the correct Baro automatically (even without ATC prompt) either above or below transition level.
