This is ridiculous. I want to fly the 787-10, excited it finally has a cabin, thinking they improved it a bit. Then I realized that they scrapped all of the WT enhancements, making the plane ■■■■, and there is no simbrief integration so forget about long haul acars requests. Why??? This would take like 5 seconds to port?
Why?
Maybe the same reason the wheels sink into the ground at stock airports? Looks ridiculous.
The 787 is the only reason i bought the premium edition, yet again feel like they forgotten us.
From the Discord…
“the TLDR is that we’re now providing a standardized route sync API so everyone can implement it instead of needing custom code for everything they want to sync with”
Tell me about it. The 787 was my goto long haul. I have wasted 3-5h trying to get the autopilot to work. My 2020 SimBrief Flight plans that were just fine have been knee-capped. BTW, flies like a ton of bricks.
I resolved this afternoon to just leave it alone hoping they will fix it, but it is the same story on many other aircraft including the C-172… I tried the autopilot on that too and
And this means? I - we- just want to import a simbrief plan.
I’d love to know why-maybe something for the team to answer in the dev Q+A.
Why are they no livery creator that are painting the 787 for msfs2024? flightsim.to has no livery are there no 787 love? i mean waw
Asobo what happened to our 787-10 did you neglect us? forgotten? airbus blindness?
I think you can use Simbrief Downloader to export flight plans to the Local State folder for MSFS2024 and import them that way? Obvs it would be better if we could import from Simbrief directly to the EFB, but they clearly want you to use their flight planning tool, which is nowhere near as good.
They totally ditched the default a320. WTF. I was gonna buy the premium edition for the 787 but now I’m not.
Use Simbrief’s Dispatch for FS2024 tool.
It will import and add a plan to the avionics
*on PC, the only platform supported by that tool
For sure, it has to be downloaded and installed in the community folder.
OK, I have this puppy hunting now, not perfect but it found SFO and did a CAT3 auto-land in my actual conditions today:
and
This video takes you through each step logically… I still forgot to bring the plane in under the GS and went around twice.
I’ll put this note in a few places as people are having trouble with this. I still need help editing in the flight planner and on the auto-pilot in the plane (hard to edit discontinuations).
that is understandable cause the default a320neo v1 was garbage. Only issue is a bunch of other planes were based on it.
Still, they said every plane that was in 2020 would be in 2024. A lot of people bought liveries for it. So that’s just all gone? I actually liked the plane, it just needed an avionics upgrade.
From what I’ve read, most liveries are broken across the board anyways, short of being reworked by their creators.
The avionics in the 2024 787 are identical to the 2020 versions with some additional fixes and updates. The only change is with SimBrief: as opposed to favoring one single third party for flight plan sync, there are now APIs in the sim for any developer to implement syncing plans to avionics. The new avionics use this new system.
I just want to let people know in case they haven’t realized it that if you own the FS2020 Premium Deluxe edition, you can disable the '24 version and enable the '20 version instead, complete with Simbrief integration. When/if some kind of equivalent Simbrief integration through the new API’s Bishop refers to becomes available, you can disable the ‘20 version again and go to the newer one.
However, although I have my Navigraph apps installed for ‘24, I don’t believe that planned functionality is working yet. If it is, I’ve missed it.
You use the Navigraph Plugin for the EFB - open the Simbrief App in it download your route and send to avionics.
