There was no Gpu connected.

The GPU is automatically available when you are parked in a specific parking type that has GPU available. It doesn’t rely on the Ground Services to connect the GPU to the aircraft to make it available. I would say it’s a bug, but I don’t think they’re designed that way initially. My best guess is that they made it easier so that if you park in an area with GPU available. It automatically becomes available in the cockpit. And the Ground services is just an animation of having the GPU car connected.

Much the same as when you park near a fuel pump. The window pops up to adjust fuel levels even though I did not request fuel.

These are little things that happen when designers are thinking of ease of use instead of the details of flight ops. Back in FSX it was hotkeys to connect ground power or chocks, etc. instead of an automatic process. Not a big deal to most but I can hear some scream “immersion breaker”. The designers should be wary of any procedure that happens automatically simply to improve accessibility.
