So i travelled down to Larnaca from Gatwick and got around 45 fps on arrival. For the trip back i restarted the sim and got 65 fps at the same position i ended up at. What’s the deal?
I get the same since SU10. Performance drops over time. All subsequent flights after the first will have ever decreasing performance. A restart of the sim restores that performance.

Yes i get this as well. Since su11, now i can load and see fps is down, gpu will be maxed at 100%. So i’ll restart the sim and all is well. Problem is this happens in the middle of my flight some times, mostly on approach. Asobo has been silent on this frame drop issue since su11.

I fly in VR and found out there is a performance bug.
When i circle on the sky and the horizon stutters and i “feel” the fps drop i go into options/controller settings do a change and after saving it the screen goes black and when it comes back i see the Text on screen looks “aliased”. Now back in the sim its back fluid. Don’t know what it is.

For me it was enabling dev Mode, jumping Back into the Sim to Check frames and disablong it again.
Flight was in the Kodiak from NZQN to NZMC. on approach came the stutters. They stayed until after the takeoff from NZMC and said proc. (Unintendedly) seemed to fix it.

Because you probably have residual factors from where you first started and your flight over. Restarting the sim after every flight would be optimal but it wouldn’t serve for continuing flights. One way to check this is to see how your memory % changes from when you first load up, your flight, and when you land. Also depends on the airport you fly from and to depending on whether it’s an addon, more aircraft, surrounding scenery/terrain, etc. FPS at one airport doesn’t always equal the same at another. The more the sim is open, the “bigger” it gets in a sense. Not even closing the sim entirely but simply going back to the main menu and selecting your spot you left off at might help out as well.

halved fps on a two hour flight seems a little extreme
