Why is the A320 still broken?

He makes a flight simulator, not an environment simulator, which Asobo has done brilliantly. I really wish they gave us a rentable world in which we could buy add on aircraft etc.

serious question of you as EVERYONE on here knows all you do is complain troll and complain. If yo hate the sim so much why do you waste your FULL DAY trolling on here. Whats the matter bored with Xplane 11

My Airbus A320 is completely stock un upgraded and it works perfectly fine as far as flight surfaces and avionics working. Ive never had an engine turn its self off either.

Its weird to read people complain about it , its it a add on they installed or an installation glitch.. weird.

Na man its actually broken in the latest update. If you start the engines yourself you’ll see it turn off, provided you follow all the procedures as per the checklist etc.

You purchased something, especially a piece of software, which can be fixed without return to factory, and it refused to work

Shouldn’t you have the right for just criticizing and complaining?
Or, forget & waste it, just pick another one?

i think you have quoted the wrong person care to show me wher i am complaining about the sim ?

that is the AI interfering with your aircraft turn off the AI

I love the sim, the presentation is immaculate.
I also hate it because for all it’s strengths it has glaring omissions that show with full transparency that it wasn’t ready for release and the devs know it.

Complaining is just as valid as you lying that the aircraft are complete and perfect. I fly a lot of ifr with online atc - you can’t do it properly until avionics actually get finished

I am playing it a lot. But I have to work around the sims issues instead of just flying.

What do you mean by completely broken? Yes I know the left engine issue, which can be easily worked around by keeping the APU on. I have just yesterday done a flight with the stock A320 cold and dark at gate in London Gatwick to Edinburgh full taxi, autopilot most of the route, co pilot handling ATC, old landing with full approach and jetway connection no problem?

Yes you have to leave the APU on, but this will be fixed on the next patch. There are some quirks for sure, but you can fly the flight plan.

Agreed, too many bugs up there

And guess what? They are so obvious that within minutes or hours flying, you can make a long list.
As a software programmer, I can’t believe it can be put to market at this stage.

At the very beginning, I managed to give some credit and wait to see.
But, after more than a month from launch, some obvious and easy bug still get no fix.
I finally lost my temper after two successive CTD on the final approach stage after 9-10 HOURS flying, one for LFBD-KSEA, one for ZBAA-KSEA, which cost me 2 days in sum.

A320 isn’t ideal. It’s usable if you understand its nuances and quirks.

Sure it’s bugged but it’s not ■■■■■. This is a flight sim, go explore the limits of the plane’s accuracy and you’ll learn how to use it.

You guys keep saying that you want study level sims, yet don’t want to put the effort into studying a default aircraft to understand its limitations and work around them

EDIT: I strongly recommend the FBW A320 community mod: it doesn’t permanently change your game files and can be uninstalled simply by moving the installation files out of the installation folder.

Thanks for the info about the fix. The APU trick unfortunately does not work because the phantom co pilot randomly shuts off all electrical systems and won’t let me turn the APU back on.

AI assist off, starting cold and dark at the gate, following the checklist, ground power connects but supplies no actual power to the plane. Try to start up the APU, I can hear it start but then it shuts down itself, no power means the button isn’t lit up so I’m not sure what exactly is happening here. Meanwhile phantom copilot is touching all my buttons and knobs, flipping random switches despite AI assist being off. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong if other people are not having these issues. I had none of these issues in the alpha and before the last update.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have all AI off.

Dear Asobo,

Please fix the A320 so it doesn’t rock back and forth like a drunk sailor. Can it really be that hard? :grinning:

Thanks.

Inspite of all its issues I find the A320 the most flyable out of all the airliners. Wish they would fix the 787, especially since many of us paid extra to just have that aircraft.

I can’t believe some on this forum is defending the quality of the default a320 by saying you can depend on 3rd party addons.

If that was the strategy of Asobo, then they have a big issue with the premium aircraft.

I guess Asobo give us premium deluxe users 10 additional marvelous aircraft for hanger show?

Asobo: $6 each only, take some photos and you are paid off.

So the 10 extra airports in the premium deluxe version were FREE then?

It is a flight simulator in which you cannot fly. You can only fly thanks to an external mod.
Are you going to say that people don’t complain? What do you think if they take out a car simulator and the car won’t start?
The defense of some is ridiculous, you can have a programming error and solve it quickly but not leave weeks to fix it.
