I see MSFS 2024 is available to pre-order, but I can’t on Steam! I have the 2020 version on Steam, and the Microsoft store version won’t sync up with the content I bought in the marketplace through Steam. This isn’t fair and because of that limited time aircraft I’ll get in 2020, it’s something I want greatly.

Do I have to de-install the the version I have on my pc before downloading the 2024 version? I have a steam version bought on the store. thx
It’s not available yet, but as long as you have the room you won’t need to.

You can have MSFS (2020) and MSFS2024 both installed on the same device at the same time (as long as you have sufficient storage as @TheSevenflyer wrote above).

and if I put an external hard drive Seagate, can I install the sim on that?
If your question still refers to Steam, Steam lets you have multiple game libraries. I personally have libraries on my C:, D: and E: drives.
well frankly, I’m not sure. I bought 2020 by the store and I download the sim. With that, do I have just a part of the sim and a part on the cloud or , all the stuff is on my pc?

I never pre orderd anny game always waited patiently for it to release then go on discount… but MSFS2024 is definetly going to be pre-order 
I have a question related to Steam:
Will in-game purchases transfer if I buy 2024 from a different Steam account but logged into MSFS using the same XBox account?
Right now whenever I have MSFS running I can’t play my other steam games which is annoying as hell especially since MSFS sessions are pretty long on long haul flights.

What about Steam users who also want the physical goodies that come with the Limited Collector’s Edition? If we want to buy on Steam so we can keep addons purchased through Steam, we can’t get these limits editions, we’re stuck with digital downloads.
