Like most other players I’ve struggled to get the game running but I have now managed to actually fly once or twice. So the game is now installed on my PC. But why does it take 20+ minutes every time to load and run the game (up to being able to access the menus)? Surely it’s not downloading the game from the cloud every time? I’m sitting here again waiting for it while it is “loading SimObjects”. And I HATE the music now.
Well my load times are nowhere near 20 minutes, they hover around the 2.5 min mark but that is still more than double my usual 2020 load time. I will say though that the time to get the Fly button after starting a flight is a lot less than 2020. I notice that the vast majority of the initial load time is taken up with the “Activating packages” phase. If it wasn’t for this phase my load times would be less than a minute.
And here I was thinking that improved load time was a headline feature of 2024… 
Hi, My loading times are around 5 minutes. I just have the Standard Version…
It’s not downloading everything again. But it is trying to verify that you’ve got the most recent stuff downloaded. And that means making a call to the server for a large number of files, just to verify your version. And since the download server is overloaded, that’s a very slow process right now.
At some point, the download server won’t be as badly loaded, and the verification will just take a few seconds. But I’m guessing that’s a few days out, maybe a week.

More than a week after the release of the game it is still practically impossible for me to launch the simulator
Why display a video that takes up a lot of computer resources for a loading screen?
A bar with a few scrolling photos would have been more than sufficient
Do you know that most of the players are Alt+tabing while the program load ?
Are there people thinking at Microsoft?
I managed to launch it 3 times otherwise the loading remains stuck most of the time at 68%
I am in Paris in France and I think I was patient enough to be able to use your product
One more negative note on Steam since apparently you are not able to run your simulator more than a week after its launch

It got so bad this weekend and today my monitor went dark loading PMDGs 737. It started with not loading Navigraph on the EFB of the 777ER. And it’s moved to the EFB on their 737. And now this, why?
If you our experiencing long loading times, see how quickly it loads if you empty or disable your community folder. Certainly for me, having too many addons does not help, though I think MS servers are probably not up to the job, especially at peak times.
Your ISP can sometimes be an issue at peak times too.
