Widebody Aircraft in developement

If that’s what your after then X-plane 11 could be your thing. Please though wait for it to come on sale. Also, there are some good offerings on the X-plane Org Store (not actually affiliated with Laminar, the X-plane devs) and they also have sales every so often. From memory, Flight Factor are quite good for Airliners. To be fair also X-plane also has a good selection of Helicopters and if you chose wisely you will accumulate a good knowledge which will help you if you come back eventually to FS2020.

Anyway, best of luck and hope you learn loads and enjoy yourself :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Cheers Kayembee, I can see this hobby getting expensive REAL quick!

I do love MSFS but its nice to have choice right!

XP11 seems far more overwhelming with the endless amount of mods

I personally won’t buy anymore planes for XP and instead save for airliners in the Microsoft platform. The logic is that even thought the A300, Bae146, Q400, etc are really nice I already have planes of every type but I have only 1 vintage prop airliner and 1 GA airplane for MSFS. Still waiting on a turboprop, airliner etc.

But on the other hand if you get XPlane now there is the completely free Zibo which is as good as it gets. Apart from the system depth it’s also very nice graphically and has very realistic sound. So for practicing with a 737 and very little money it’s still the best I know. Up to now.

Weird that you’re commenting how things can get expensive really quick and then you may consider buying P3D or X-Plane, whose platforms may be made obsolete by MSFS over the next few years. If you want to get your money’s worth, just wait for the study level airliners to show up in MSFS. The 737 from PMDG may be released as soon as the end of summer. Then you have the 777 from PMDG following after that by the end of the year or early 2022. I am also going to guess the Fenix A320 may make it to release by the end of this year, or early 2022, if it’s already in the alpha test phase. And for the QW 787, I surmise even if they missed their Q2 target and they need more time, Q4 of this year or early 2022 should be reasonable and give QW enough time to reach their goal.

If you wait out the next few months, you can save yourself some money. You are going to have to spend on add-ons in P3D or X-Plane to make it look as good as possible (and it will still look worse than MSFS) if you get it. If money is an issue, just wait it out for a few months for MSFS.

I spent a heck of a lot of money in modding X-plane 11 not kidding either. If I was you I would just get the aircraft you are after and forget any scenery addons. You will never get the scenery wow factor with X-plane despite what some people will claim and you have that already in FS2020. If you’re not careful you will be spending a fortune, trust me. Also bear in mind that ATC is virtually non existent (yes, it’s actually worse than it is in FS2020) so if you really want to go for an ATC addon consider amongst your other options Pilot2ATC which you should also be able to use at a later stage in FS2020 at no extra cost.

But, yes, keep a tight hold on your wallet. The best thing for me when I came to FS2020 was the fact that I realised that I only needed to spend money on better aircraft since I already had a cross platform ATC addon. Really, default FS2020 has a lot going for it especially now with decent AC on the horizon.

Anyway, as said earlier, have fun and enjoy yourself :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Apologies to TrivialString51 here for going way off topic and drifting somewhat from the main purpose of the thread. My bad :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

You bought all these addons just this year? And each and every aircraft for MSFS?

Yup. Sure did. Plus the A2A collection, QualityWings 787, some MilViz ones, a few Aerosoft ones, the Majestic Dash 8, and a ton of Orbx scenery.

I had a Russian plane in FSX I think.. It was so hard to learn, but once I understood it It was a beast. Russian planes are seriously fast well the TU planes are. I also love the design and nose. Beautiful planes. My Farther did Security related stuff for 40 years, not mall cop or CIA stuff lol…But anyway he was in Russia and was taken for a tour of a Foxbat… not flying just to look around it, he said the Pilots were highly disciplined and seemed to caress the planes

It might of been this, I am sure I paid for it however

The CaptainSim 777 uses a 777 cockpit (although the engine information display mildly shows 4 engines), not a 747 cockpit.
