Lets hope not. Much better if third parties develop more aircraft.
I think there will be some basic helicopters in 2022.
There is already a bunch of planes in the game, when you have the premium deluxe version.
Furthermore it is Asobos plan to leave some space for 3rd party devs, that would not be there, if they release regular stuff for free.
I hope Asobo won’t release more planes. The ones they have are quite bad, so why would anyone want to have more of that kind? For me it’s key that they work on the core sim, mainly the weather and the SDK. We will see many good planes from 3rd party developers then and can enjoy them in a even better sim.
FS is selling at least 10x more than any other sim.
I bought all DCS modules and I was happy to pay from 30$ to 70$ but in FS it’ll be not acceptable.
Ok 20$ to 40$ no more.
That’s impressive indeed. However the big question here is how many of those users are really interested in becoming serious flightsimmers? I guess many of them will move on to the next big new game soon.
Around 20% IMHO
But 20% of a million sales title is much more than DCS, X11, …
Let Asobo focus on fixing the platform and the fundamentals which haven’t seen any fix since release in August.
Its better to let 3rd party developers handle this unless you are interested in more half-baked planes like the 748 and A32N… Even if they are for free, its not worth it.
I think you missed my point…
You want to pay no more than 15$ for a plane than a single scenery costs 25$ or so. If you compare the default A320neo to the FBW add-on, you easily understand that a plane can’t be sold at 15$. Even a simple plane like the CRJ series developed by Aerosoft will be sold at 42€ (51$) and you have to add the local VAT. The whole bundle will cost 71$ (plus local VAT). So you have a strange reaction to someone who is playing SimFlight since the late '90s.
I suppose the logical response to this statement is why, but you already answered your own question…
However with numbers of sales of MSFS being so high vs other sims, and the in-game marketplace. You might actually get your wish and add ons maybe a bit lower this time around as more sales might be expected. We have already seen very reasonable pricing from Aerosoft for the CRJ.
I would rather they patch, focus on performance and on the sdk to be honest, leave more planes for third party to build
I think the mix of A/C is pretty decent and having a full-function Boeing and Airbus Commercial jet covers the bases quite well. Of course, an 87 or 350 would be great, as would the A220. I’d also love a Q400 but that’s the Canadian in me. As to cost, I can only image the number of hours needed to program a new bird. They should charge what they feel is fair and the market will dictate whether or not it’s a price that folks are willing to pay or if a “sale” is required to get traction. HNY everyone!
I’ll have more faith in the A350 the FBW team is developing… The only thing Asobo should be doing is develop one or two helo’s, otherwise they should leave that to 3rd party devs which are far better at that job…
