Hi there, Will deleting default aircraft make the sim load faster? Any help or info is greatly appreciated. TIA

No, because they will be detected as missing packages and reinstalled.
(I know, because I’ve tried)
i deleted most of them, didn’t notice any improvement in load speeds, maybe the aircraft selection window is a bit more responsive but thats about it
I deleted a whole bunch of them but kept tubes for AI and kick d all the goofy Ms liveries to the curb. Makes no difference loading other than my menu only has ~50 planes now.
It depends on the plane being removed. If it’s a plane used for a training mission, for example, it will get reinstalled. The 152, and TBM 930 are like that.
I’ve had a ton of stuff uninstalled for a long time now, including some default aircraft that I don’t fly. If you remove an aircraft that’s used in an activity, that activity won’t work, but I’ve removed those too anyway.
The sim certainly seems to load faster, but it could be my imagination of course. But I’ve saved a ton of storage space.
I have two installs of the sim (steam and shop), the shop one has 39 packages installed, the steam one 409. The shop one shows all lessons and activities deactivated.
The steam one loads our 777 on runway in 222 seconds, the shop one in 56 seconds. If you have to start the sim 50 times a day, that starts to add up. It’s not related to the different versions btw. If I clean out the steam version it is as fast as the shop one.
