Hi there, I’m just curious whether there will be an Update for the MSFS Add.on Linker? I remember there used to be updates after like SU5, Any info or help is greatly appreciated. TIA
You mean MSFS Addon Linker?
https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker
It was last updated in June of 2023, no real need to be updated after SU’s as it doesn’t interact with MSFS in anyway, just creates links to the Community Folder.
Why would there need to be one?
I thought because the SU15 was very large and I thought that it needs to update I thought that it would do more than the just the Community Folder.. Thanks @skypilotYTS for letting me know…
Well, it links addons into the Community folder - Addons Linker. What more is there to do?
My Addons_Linker seems to be working exactly the same after the SU15 update.
Yepp mine has worked quit happily all through the Beta for SU15.
New version released today .

general fixes

In the map screen, there is now a new button (‘Import SimBrief’) that let you import your current flightplan from simbrief (you need to set your simbrief username in the options screen). This could be useful for those who like to select their addons based on the map. As a reminder, on the map, you can draw a square (SHIFT+click) or draw a polygon (RIGHT-CLICK → Polygon selection) to select all addons nearby your flightplan. Maybe one day i’ll add a way to auto select all addons based on the SB flightplan (see note below about possible future enhancements).

In the options screen, you can now set a delay before the sim is launched when you launch other programs via AL. A delay is sometimes needed because some programs require to be started before the sim is launched (for example the popular ‘map enhancement tool’)
Note : As you may have noticed, the development of the tool has slowed down a bit since the announce of MSFS2024 (support still going strong though ). With MSFS2024 on the horizon, and not knowing if the tool will still be useful or if it will be put to the trashcan (they have probably, hopefully, completely redone the way addons are managed), i didn’t really want to spend time developing new features not knowing if the tool has a future or not. So, this version contains mainly little fixes here and there (i didn’t keep tracks of all the changes unfortunately so i’m unable to post a full list).
If it’s still useful for MSFS2024 i will certainly try to make it better and add new features if possible, and of course it will still, and always, be 100% free. As always thanks to all for your feedback and support !
