Is full screen or windows mode better for VR? I’ve read a few say to use windowed. But then I sometimes accidentally resize the window, which throws off the popout panels.
In windowed mode you can even accitendaly close the sim by moving the cursor and clicking on the “x” in the upper right corner of the sim window.
I’ll probably switch back to full. I haven’t noticed any benefit to being windowed.
Not sure whether windowed or full screen is better, but I did experiment last night with setting my native 4K laptop resolution to a really low resolution in windows before flying in VR.
This boosted my frame rate in VR mode significantly.
I’m no expert but can only assume that the system doesn’t have to work so hard to render the mirrored screen on the Laptop and can devote more resources to the VR headset.
May be worth trying as it is only a few mouse clicks (and you don’t even need to restart the sim).
I’m try that now. Windowed also driving me nuts.
