Never use the recommended optimization in GeForce Experience; make sure that is disabled.
I fresh/clean installed Windows 11 22H2 to my PC and installed the GeForce Studio driver. And I also clean install MSFS SU10. I donât have any issues with it. I can still use the sim the same way and get all the SU10 improvements.
Granted⊠Mine isnât installed the same way as you or most people. This is because I always have a rule that I personally follow which has worked for me to resolve any issues before they even come up:
- For every Windows major version release = Clean install.
- For every MSFS Sim Update release = Clean install.
- For every Nvidia driver release = Always clean install the latest version.
- Never use GeForce experience for anything, no optimisation.
Confirming that itâs broken this week with RTX3090, i9 and Reverb G2; GEForce experimental
setting didnât fix anything. Rolling back 22H2, film at elevenâŠ

The rollback to the OS before 22H2 worked. -whew-
I always had this option disabled but I had hoped the âcolor/sharpen/visualâ section would work properly in this version.
I tried GF Ex years ago and deleted it because of the disadvantages, like messing up my graphics and performance. Besides that, I like to do my tweaking manually.
I had some crashes, and errorsâŠI went and reset display to default settings in preferences and just did a flight from Seattle to Denver no issues!
So does this only affect geforce experience? Iâve never used it as it causes itâs own issues anyway.
You have a driver or program that is not yet compatible. For this reason, the update 22H2 is still blocked on your PC.
Then why does it say nothing is required of me and that itâs not its way? If my system was not compatible it would tell me, just as it does on my laptop, which is not compatible.
Sorry, I think youâre wrong.
I have no desire to find out why the Microsoft IPP Class Driver triggers a safeguard hold on you. So now I just say âyes, Iâm wrongâ and have my peace of mind.
Thank you
Dude Microsoft always staggers every major windows update, they never release them to every single user at the same time
I made a clean Windows 11 22H2 installation and VR performance (HP G2) was terrible even if no Geforce Experience installed. I donât remember where I found this [temporary] solution but it really helped!
Go to Computer Management â System Tools â Performance â Data Collector Sets â Event Trace Sessions. In this list, find HolographicShell, right click, and choose âStopâ
Dude, if youâre not in the wave at yet, you wonât get the window above.
I just read this, and I am not sure if it might help anyone. Nvidia releases an emergency driver fix for Windows 11 22H2:
Shortcut to download the emergency update exe: click.
The non beta version of GE Force Experience is due to get be rolled out along with a new game ready driver this week (possibly tomorrow) so patience is an option too.
Installing Windows 11 is the worst mistake iv ever done
The problem is fixed with the Beta of GF Experience. I got all the FPS back.

GeoForce Experience only updates drivers if the user configured the option. I think Windows is the other direction. It is going to update everything unless configured not to.
BTW sleep/hibernation has never worked correctly for me. I can have my computer sleep but is totally messed up when it wakes up not even considering MSFS. Probably needs coffee before it wakes upâŠ
