Windows adds a new keyboard language (EN) after quitting Flight Simulator 2024

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Every time I launch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, play normally, and then quit back to the desktop, Windows 11 automatically adds an English (EN) keyboard layout.

I have only one language installed (French - FR, AZERTY keyboard), and I don’t want any others. However, after exiting the game, Windows adds an EN keyboard layout, which sometimes causes key swaps (e.g., A becomes Q, etc.).

I have to manually remove the EN layout each time after quitting the game.

This issue only happens with MSFS 2024 and does not occur with any other software or game.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
  2. Play normally.
  3. Exit the game and return to the Windows desktop.
  4. Open language settings: Windows has added an EN keyboard layout, even though only FR was installed before launching the game.
