Windows Defender Users - Feels Better With Process Exception

Hey fellow fliers o7

Amongst many other things I am trying to eek out as much performance as I can. I often set a folder exclusion in windows defender to my steam install folders / game folders.

I thought I would try a process exception entering “FlightSimulator.exe” in the input box, and I feeeeeel like it has had a little bit of an impact on my load times and stutters.

Totally not backed up by any metrics, I’ve spent too much time tinkering already and not playing! So please take this with a pinch of salt as I am purely giving you my feelings when trying this out.

Hope this is useful to someone o7

Just stumbled on this. I noticed the same. I believe Defender is impacting performance when doing the initial game load.

I just don’t know if it’s safe to exclude it…

If you dont do weird things on your pc, the change you get a virus/trojan named FlighSimulator.exe is pretty small.
