I am currently flying my CJ4 from Dulles airport to my virtual beach house in Destin FL (KIAD to KDTS). I can’t say I’ve experienced a 156-knot headwind before! Good thing Simbrief calculates winds aloft in the fuel calcs.
Just curious… are there any websites/tools that simmers can use to find a better route or altitude to minimize such headwinds? (or alternatively catching a greater tailwind if applicable?)

You can see official winds aloft in graphical format here- AWC - Winds/Temps Data (aviationweather.gov) Lower is sometimes better but the lower the airplane is flown, the fuel burn increases. It is sometimes better to stay in the high wind which is the worst in the 30-38,000’ range but usually gets weaker above 40,000 feet which it does in the current winds aloft forecast. Enjoy your virtual beach house!
Thanks! Will bookmark that site.
Best thing about my virtual beach house is the virtual mortgage!

I keep Little Nav Map open - it’s got NOAA wind feed at various altitudes including cruise, so that’s a nice way to get a quick graphical representation. The wind is slightly different from the Meteoblue Live Weather in the sim (no way to feed the sim wind into LNM), but it’s close enough for deviation work.
And your virtual property tax!
