Sunday Shenanigans | #005 | “Madeira Manoeuvres” | Gliders
We will be gliding around the lush Portuguese-owned island of Madeira, off the north-west coast of Africa. We’ll tour the whole island and back to the start. To spice things up, let’s make it into a bit of a low-key-friendly-tour-type-race!

There is only one airport here so no flight plan file. Pick up your favourite glider. I GUESS you can cheat if you want and take the super-fast DG-808S but I will be in the new Got Friends Pipistrel Taurus M from Premium Deluxe!
First we will head to the very eastern tip and group up (maybe we can use Back To Fly to get the same starting altitude). This is the “start line”. Our aim is to reach the western coast by whatever route you want, the only requirement being that WE MUST PASS OVER THE TALLEST PEAK in the centre of the island. Then turn around and first back to LPMA is the winner!

Sunday Shenanigans is a bi-weekly Sunday event hosted by Baracus. We will have a mixture of different flights, events, themes and challenges each time.
The focus will be largely on GLIDERS , but there will be RANDOM FUN EVENTS to spice things up. Sometimes a specific AIRCRAFT will be required so that we are all in the same thing (default or freeware) and sometimes just a suggested TYPE and/or SPEED will be given and you are free to bring what you like.
