My FCU was pre-ordered 8th May and i am still waiting in the UK, hopefully i dont have to wait much longer
plus i can’t wait for the EFIS L&R as i have seen this will be coming very soon according to a post i saw on Twitter this morning ![]()
I’m 3D printing an EFIS:
Changing filament for the white letters was a challenge. Likewise finding a large font that prints ok on the buttons.
I’m most looking forward to the WinWing MCDU.
I am building a home cockpit desktop style would you happen to no the dimensions of the mcdu at all?
No, I have no idea of the size of the WinWing MCDU.
But it looks to be full size.
My pre-order came up for payment finally yesterday, so I have officially given WinWing money now. Of course, they are then warning that it may be several weeks before anything is available. So I guess my watch continues.
Well, shows what I know… it’s been dispatched. Should hopefully turn up on Monday, I guess.
If these panels becomes available on Amazon, I’ll have to take a look at all there products because I’ve been enjoying the a320 family a lot
@KayakSailor4 I don’t think they sell via Amazon, they seem to sell through their Web site primarily. There is local shipping from US, Europe and UK among others where they have an agent on the ground who gets stock and distributes locally to avoid having to deal with import fees etc, but you have to pre-order in your region and wait until they get the stock in.
Got an email today about the EFIS panels. Supposedly there will be some stock for ‘Global Shipping’ (ie shipped from China, so you pay import duties etc) on the 8th October, then it’s on to the waiting list for local pre-orders again.
I’ll order a set so I can have a complete EFIS/FCU setup. I have to say, I’ve been impressed by the build quality on the FCU, especially for the price.
The FCU is still listed for pre-order only, so I guess all the current stock is going to people who already pre-ordered like me, and it’ll be the same for the EFIS.
i got their mcdu, had a hard time setting the whole thing up. this forum really helped me
My EFIS & FCP arrived yesterday, so I installed the FBW A32NX and both appear to be working, albeit a bit laggy, at the gate on GPU. The MCDU only worked as a keyboard, however, no display. All 3 units on the latest firmware as well as SimAppPro. Any ideas now to get the display going? I don’t have this issue on the PFP3 or PFP7 in the Boeings, so seems to be an MCDU/A32NX issue.
Reviewers say that Fenix works with the WinWing MCDU.
That’s strange. My MCDU works perfectly fine with the FBW A320.
You mentioned that you have the latest SimAppPro firmware; do you have the latest stable version of the FBW? By any chance do you have anything running with MobiFlight? I know that sometimes there are conflicts with that.
I’d also just check once again if you indeed have the latest SimAppPro firmware for the MCDU. I know that when you do an update, they specifically state that no other peripherals should be plugged in while a firmware update is performed, as it might interfere with the update.
Thanks for your response, all good now. It turns out I had not set SimBridge to auto start when installing FBW. The MCDU display is up and running, as is the EFIS, FCU and the Airbus too. First flight in the air, climbing to FL390 out of ORD to EWR (with a little cheating along the way till I get my Airbus wings back LOL). Cheers!
