[WIP] KLBB - Lubbock Preston Smith Intl Airport

Hi everyone, I’ve been working hard on my freeware KLBB scenery and I wanted to create a thread to share some of my progress with everyone. I’ve hand modeled and textured several custom buildings and hangers, made custom painted lines, and more.

I’m releasing this completely for free, as a pet project and because I really wanted to give the airport and area some love. It’s currently a WIP, and I’m releasing updates for it as I pass major milestones, the most recent being the GA areas, and the next being a full revamp of all painted lines and taxiway lighting.

After this, I plan on working on KHOU, another airport that I think needs lots of love in the sim. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions for this scenery.

When I was learning the SDK and modeling I actually started making KHOU. Unfortunately I lost the blender file for the terminal so I have to restart.

It’s probably for the best as I know a lot more about texturing and if I make KHOU I’m gonna make sure I use LODs and other best practices this time.

That’s awesome. I’m a student at TTU so I live in Lubbock most of the year. If you ever have any photos of the airfield at night I’ve been looking for some reference photos for the lights.

Great work Jaxcksn! I’ve downloaded every update you put up. I fly to Lubbock occassionally, my brother in law is a Tech grad from Littlefield.
