So I am getting back into talking to ATC. For the western USA I use PilotEdge. Does VatSim work with 2020, I have not tried Vatsim yet but want to use some kind of ATC. So in the older MSFS days ATC would issue a command and I would choose one of 3 responses, usually 1. Was the one to continue and 2. Was cancel ATC or something like that. With Msfs 2020 can I contact Clearance Delivery typing or talking a request. I have ATC disabled now so was checking.
Yes VATSIM is working with FS2020.
Ingame ATC is not working or is just plain bad and dangerous at some times.
VATSIM is on the other hand very hard to start using as it (mostly) uses real life procedures that you in real life go on expensive courses to learn. With that said do not be afraid of going in to VATSIM as it is VERY realistic. A tip is to watch a lot of VATSIM videos and tutorials, AND read up on the topics. You will not regret.
As i heard one real life air traffic controller say:
“It is very hard to get into the terminology but once you get it, then it is actually pretty simple”
I concur (always wanted to say that)
Awesome, thanks. I got VFR down cold and have purchased from Sportys and King the classes. Been on PilotEdge a few years now. Starting to learn IFR, I know the approaches well, it is the Star and Sid I have not gotten down yet. i will give Vatsim a try.
Should be a walk in the park for you then. - Good luck.
Vatsim and PilotEdge are supported, and if you are used to them. Then the default in game ATC is not worth ever using. It will be like a comedy show in comparison.
