World Map: Reading Wind direction using Ground Wind Effect Filter

How do I know which direction the wind is from => to?

See attached example screenshot:

  1. Assuming that World Map is North Up, the arrow is pointing to @ 10 degrees NE (i.e. actual direction)
  2. The number displayed on map shows the wind speed of 12 Knots.
  3. This means that wind is flowing from 190SW => 10NE at 12 Knots.

Is this the correct way to read wind flow?

Yep, that is how you read it.

Now whether that is actually correctly shown once in a flight is a separate question :grinning:
