World Photographer Cards & Indication of Airplane or Helicopters

In the World Photographer mode the task selection cards should have a way of indicating whether the task provides a fixed wing aircraft or a helicopter.

I have separate hardware setups for airplanes vs helicopters and there is no way to tell which craft the task provides until you load into it. When I’m setup with my Honeycomb gear I keep opening photo tasks for the Cabri G2 and I have to exit out and try again until I find the airplane photo tasks.

I’d recommend a second icon on each card to designate which ones provide an airplane or helicopter.

Hi @TiggerTailz , You can change the suggested aircraft to one of your choice in the “Photo Objective” screen. Here you can see I’ve changed the default to the Magni Gyro":

Once you have chosen your aircaft, you can also click on the Settings wheel on the screen & change the controls to whatever you like:

I didn’t realize the card for the assigned aircraft was selectable and that it lets you change to a different plane.

We can mark this as solved or remove my original post.

Hmmm. I see no option to mark a post as solution. It it possible that Discourse feature isn’t enabled for the Wishlist category?

I was just about to make the same wishlist suggestion. Glad I found this. I had no idea you could swap them out since most of the other Activities and Challenge League stuff do not have this option (at least I don’t think they do).

Maybe there could be a way in the sim to make that more obvious. I also have 3 separate setups for planes with yokes (Eclipse + Bravo), planes with sticks (X52), and helicopters (CH Combatstick with springs removed + CH Pro Throttle mounted at an angle) so I am generally looking for activities where I don’t have to switch the setup too often.
