World Photographer - Planespotting Airlines

I have been attempting to complete the Planespotting collections in World Photographer and wondered how others were getting on. For me there have been two main challenges.
1: Identifying the planes! Easy in the stock livery as it’s written on them, but more challenging in airline livery!
2: Finding a way to activate the camera mode with live traffic. As soon as the camera freezes the plane you are flying, the live traffic I’ve carefully intercepted has zipped off into the distance!
Any tips? I was quite pleased with enclosed attempt when parked next to the runway and managed a “snap”! But only two out three stars!

As you can “achieve” the objectives whilst in free flight I thought it would be useful to have all the achievments listed for quick reference when I encounter a live traffic aircraft. So I’ve also created a document with all the objectives, together with what’s required to get the stars.

Do you snap your pictures exactly where the little yellow camera is situated in the round window top left?

Second, sometimes it will say “in autumn” or on a “spring equinox” or some such bit of info. That means you must change the dates to suit that requirement. Read the challenge carefully. Hope that helps
