Lol. I wanted to post a solution. I have around 900 photographs lol. That are way too many. I can’t have access to my Photos .. Downloads within msfs2024 take too long. All i can say …you have to use the superhornet..
Does anyone have an example of the Itsukushima Shrine, with the sun framed between the torii gate, and have a date and time for this? I managed to get two stars but now I can’t even get anything to register.

If you want the final star for Angkor Wat, NOW is the time. You have between 23:20 - 23:40 GMT on the 22nd March (tomorrow) to take the picture of the sun at the tip of the temple.

Not the best but hope this helps for Itsukushima Shrine. Hard to see but my plane is is the bottom third of the picture, just right of centre.

I think there are quite a few broken missions currently:
- Roofs of the world: Mount McKinley - From south east star does not register
- Landscapes of Europe: Cliffs of Dover
- Geoglyphs: Long Man of Wilmington - Summer day never registers
- Sights of the World: Angkor Wat - They can’t be serious about the equinox
- Airports of the Pacific: Nusatupe - No plane in live traffic ever leaves there
- Remarkable rocks: Pridrangar
- Remarkable rocks: Kicker rock - 3D model is missing
- Remarkable rocks: Chimney rock - Sun over it does not register

Actually, there are already bug tickets for many of them since a lot of players have unsurprisingly noted the same issues (and I have many of them described in my Steam guide).

For Remarkable rocks: Pridrangar, please also see the above thread. The photo symbol on the EFB was a few km off the actual island. I believe this is fixed now, but I got the required shot before this already, just photographing the water. 
They are, unfortunately, and with all the other events requiring a certain “real time” (or season)… see following post from above:
Also concerning the Long Man of Wilmington: It’s not yet summer (in real time, that’s the culprit):
Works for me if (and only if) you have all the POIs enabled, so you see the shape of the POI model, not the shape of the base mesh. See the “several-poi-3d-models-missing” above link for what you might need to check.
How to spot wood elephants under all those trees?
I spotted them on a clearing, that’s almost your only chance. But have you ever tried finding the monkeys, they are smaller and thus even harder to spot in a forest. I’ve given up and consider this a waste of time.
Concerning the other mentioned missions: Yeah, check there isn’t a bug report and if you are sure it’s a bug, report it.

The Cliffs of Dover bonus “In a low angle shot” remains broken in Sim Update 3. It does not register no matter the angle
I’m on the newer beta. Not sure if it was an issue before or not but I got it on my first attempt. So if it’s not in the general release, it should be soon.
