World update 3: UK

In that case can I respectfully suggest that you return the S you stole from Maths to put in Lego. It’s not Math and Legos, it’s Maths and Lego!

Is the last pic part of the default sim?

Excellent news. Thanks mate.

Think that is Orbx.

Part of the Dundee airport scenery from Orbx I think.

If not Orbx then possibly one of these: Discover & Search - Flightsim.to

Until then (maybe) you can have one of the bridges and other scenery: Discover & Search - Flightsim.to

Yeah well all that rain helps to create scenes like this:-

I live in the US and was generally excited to hear that the UK would be, as they say, given some love. We all can agree that Microsoft has only enough resources to update one country/area at a time and I loved the Japan update and of course the US update. The UK is a great third choice. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of reading some pretty negative comments in a thread that I thought was going to be positive. I’m reading comments along the lines of England is irrelevant and slamming the way they spell some words.

The UK in the next world update is ABSOLUTELY exciting news and I truly look forward to further exploring the UK at the end of January. I am excited for the pilots that are from the UK and am happy in the sense of pride they will hold when this update is finally released.

Let’s keep perspective here and if your country has not been featured yet, I will hope that your country will be featured soon.

This is another issue with the rendering of buildings in the UK. Many homes are 100+ years old and consequently the roofing footprint can look a little complicated and throw out the AI. This is the aerial view of chez moi with my two cars parked outside (I work from home, what can I say). The house has 4 dormer windows to the front and one to the rear, consequently it all looks a bit strange from the air, especially due to the leaded ridges. The sim at the moment currently renders my home as a collection of small bungalows piled on top of one another albeit with the two cars modelled brilliantly. I’m not holding out much hope that these sorts of structures are going to be improved with the UK update as I think there is just far too much diversity crammed into these islands.

I certainly cant argue with that Logic. I guess it will be a while before we get a Democratic People’s Republic of Korea update!

I need to watch that Q&A now.

How old, like 50 years? WOW!

I hope they sort out Newcastle and the North East of England

Quite right. I am pleased to see the UK getting an update but equally I am pleased to see any country getting some attention because it improves areas we can all fly in. Sadly some dont see the bigger picture, resorting instead to petty negativity.

Yeah, something like that!

Thanks for your friendly and positive comments. Much appreciated. I likewise have a tremendous respect and liking for the USA and its citizens. A great country too like the UK.

Cheers

My comment was said tongue-in-cheek but in truth it is most definitely a world beating product and something the Scots should rightly be proud of amongst quite a lot of other things
