World update assets location

Does anybody know where the building types for the various world update scenery is stored?

Are those assets stored locally or in the cloud?

I’m seeing the old (wrong/modern) type of buildings loading into Edinburgh Scotland (UK) and I have seen reports and screenshots of others also.

In my case the World Updates claim to be present and updated in the content manager but I’m not sure where I would look or what the folders would be called to verify if these were locally stored and/or modified during the SU5 update.

I might be wrong, but I have a folder called microsoft-uk-point-of-interest in:
\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

I have the MS store version, might be different for the one on Steam.

I have this also in steam. Would this be a location for locally stored architecture asset types?

Looking at the files in that location all of these were modified on 27/07/2021 at 21:52 (which is probably about right given that I started the update process at 17:00ish)

I think so, if you look inside the package microsoft-uk-point-of-interest (folder texture) you’ll find the textures for the POI’s incl. the castle’s. They open with paint . net if you want to have a quick look.

That would certainly be specific points of interest (and maybe my missing flag from Edinburgh castle is in there) but is that also the location of the “generic” UK buildings?

Generic buildings shouldn’t be there.

I might be wrong, but my understanding is that autogen buildings are streamed along with the scenery - at least their position. The textures might be in another package, maybe fs-base or something else.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
