Yeah, that’s why I used the word ‘might’ and ‘if’. I find you reasoning quite plausible and I don’t think it would be any kind of problem whatsoever to acquire geo data from the countries located within EU. If I misinterpreted your suggestion though, I’d be more than happy to delete the quote, so as to not cause any confusion in this regard 
All good! I just wanted to clarify a bit with my response.
I know they said a few Q&As ago that Brazil was on their radar for 2022. When they announced the Australia update, they made sure to say that New Zealand wasn’t included because it would get its own in the future. Don’t know if that’s planned for 2022 or not.
But likely we’ll see a central European update this year. I would suspect we’ll probably get a multi-country pack like with did with the Germany / Austria / Switzerland, Nordics, or France / Benelux updates.
Glad we have it sorted out, it was not my attention to falsely suggest anything I also believe that if we actually see some update of Central/Eastern Europe, it will be some kind of a block covering a larger area. Which is of course not a problem at all, as long as they include at least two major cities :).

The next photogrametric city after Berlin is in Japan - two years after release. Google Earth has tens of photogrametric cities and up-to-date, hi-res images of Eastern EU. There is plenty of commercial and government data available:

There are countries like Romania, which on Google Maps has 15+ photogrammetry cities and meanwhile on Flight Simulator there are 0 such cities. Also, it will be very nice to have Moldova as part of an World Update, since the satellite images are extremely outdated, maybe like ~5 years old, if not more. 
Well we finally got an Central and Eastern Europe Update, but Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Ukraine just to name a few of the more eastern block countries are missing. There is a plethora of historic sites to see in those countries and a ton of beautiful cities. Hope they will eventually include them as well. It would be a shame if they didn’t. Romania finally built(construction began in 2011[I believe] and was finalized in 2023) a brand new commercial airport in Brasov. First one in the last 50 years:) Brasov is also a very scenic city with a lot of history/tourism and amazing sites to behold. Been waiting a long time to fly a BabyBus there. Looks like I’ll have to keep waiting:(

Same, Poland could do with a World Update at some point.
No word on what region the next World Update will cover-up next is City Update 10: USA 4 as announced during this month’s dev stream.

Poland is one of the most recognizable countries that has not yet been updated. Jorg confirmed in 2024 that an update of Poland is planned (he specifically mentioned Gdańsk, as his father is from there), but there has been no news since then. I hope that the topic of updating Poland is still there and will appear in 2026.
