Located NE of Osoyoos, British Columbia is Spotted Lake. It’s one of many weird places in the world. Spotted Lake is a saline endorheic alkali lake which causes shots to appear on its surface.
Well, I flew there. No spots. Guess the satellite shot its image on a day the spots went to a local bar.
Would be great if the art folks could Google the location and add some white spots!!

Very interesting!! Thanks for pointing that out! Regards
I don’t think satellite imagery contributes anything to water bodies, hence the need for water masking to portray shallow tropical lagoons or river estuaries. I have noticed many lakes exhibiting unusual colours around the world, Lake Natron, or Australian salt lakes for example appear as normal water, although I believe water masking has been constantly added over the years.
