Wrong piston engine mixture lean behavior

there is an issue on fs2020:
Cessna 172 engine lose like 40% power if fly at 6000’ with full rich mixture.
this is not a normal behavior of an piston engine.
from my experience as flight instructor, the RPM should rise as 100-150 RPM if set the mixture from full rich to EGT pick at 6000’
in FS2020 full throttle climb with full rich mixture give no more than 2200 RPM (this is not real).

A problem that has not been fixed since Alpha. You need to lean even at sea level to get max RPM for takeoff.

Definitely an issue. I’ve seen a few threads on this. The mixture lever in the SR22 is only good for cutoff; non-functional otherwise.

In the C172 or C152 you need to lean at runup at a strip whose altitude is less than 300’ ASL. As you said, not realistic.

Can’t remember if I’ve opened a Zendesk ticket on this, but somebody should do that. It seems to be a universal problem with GA aircraft equipped with mixture controls.

I fly the DA62 quite a bit, so that solves the mixture issue.

It’s quite amazing how mixture behavior is BACKWARDS this far along. I thought the devs had pilots licenses? I mean they made it a point to mention it during all the hype leading up to release.

I recently changed my throttle axis with FSUIPC so that 100% on the axis only registered 85% in-game. Makes mixture with the 152 a bit more realistic now.
