And … bug is back !!
yup it is man
Can confirm … right after takeoff from Mumbai (VABB) I faced 37°C at 12.000ft … yeah. So time to back up with RexWF… Doing a good job, imho…
They have apparently turned the real-time METARS back on. I just spawned at KDTW, and the current wind, temperature and pressure are an exact match for the current (1453Z) METAR, which would explain why the upper level temperature bug is also back.
Earlier this morning at KDTW the airport weather was coming from the model - it did not match the METAR.
Asobo obviously must understand by now that the source of the bug is the surface METAR injection. Perhaps they have temporarily turned it back on while they troubleshoot the problem, and if that is the only way they can figure out the source of the problem I guess we will have to live with it - but until they find a solution, I wish they would leave the METAR feed disabled - as long as it is “on” it will cause major problems for anyone flying at high altitude with Live Weather active.
Lol, just when I was about to do a flight.. Ofcourse.
Yeah, I’m doing a flight right now and the temps are incorrect at high altitudes, so I had to switch off live weather because it’ll burn more of my fuel. I did both the update and the recent Hotfix after. I really expected better from MSFS. Live weather and CTDs are two of the biggest things in a Flight Simulator that will determine whether or not people will want to continue using products or even consider purchasing.
The only solution at the moment would be to fly without Live Weather
Any news regarding next Hotfix or so? Did somebody hear anything? Its such a shame that it is so quite around the officials…
Until now I have been on MS/Asobo’s side. Bugs can happen and that should be nothing to critizise them initially. But that this bug prevents users from flying for so long now is really annoying. I personally don’t care if the weather at an airport is off by two degrees or one hectopascal, but having 50 degrees at FL360 should be fixed as soon as possible. So please prioritize as air traffic controllers should: flying before taxiing before parking traffic. Get the users back in the air with reliable air temperatures.
Sorry, but I had to get rid of my anger down here
They’ve let us know that they are aware of the problem and are working on it. If I were a betting person, I’d put my money on Thursday as the next window for a patch.
i totally agree this unacceptable
I really hope this bug gets fixed soon. Yes, it is certainly “possible” to fly with Live Weather off - the reality of that is it still isn’t a solution for VATSIM/IVAO due to wind and groundspeed issues. We need Live Weather to work, plain and simple.
That was 24 hours ago. There should at least be an update/statement out already this afternoon indicating what is happening - this is a major bug. I really hope your date estimate is correct!
Ayer volando sobre Africa a 35.000 pies, me marcaba 56° C!!!
Mod Edit: Yesterday flying over Africa at 35,000 feet, I was 56°C!!!
brocken again or obviously never fixed…
The climb performance of the A32NX with ISA +48 is really something special
This is quite a show stopper for everyone looking to fly on VATSIM/IVAO etc
Flying without live weather doesn’t really help with a smooth flight unless you turn off the ATC as well, it just sucks the enjoyment out of the situation when you are constantly juggling height to shut them up. I now have more take off’s than landings due to abandoned flights! I’m done wasting my time now until I see on here that it really has been sorted. Grrrr!
I agree that Asobo is really slow on handling this live weather issue.
This bug is a flystopper for me… I’m not flying with static weather.
this is ridiculous…
at least give us a progress on it being resolved msfs please
