WU12 New Zealand - supposedly hand crafted Milford Sound scenery - worse than before

NZMF Milford Sound airport and scenery has major errors after WU12, which has it listed as a handcrafted improved area, which is weird.
-Water textures run up the mountains now in many places.
-There are fire trucks and ground handlers criss crossing over the runway in suicidal missions all the time
-when you choose a default parking position for departure from the map, you end up parked in the middle of the runway
-there is a partially covered by vegetation and houses “shadow airport” just right south of the south airport fence, has its own windsock too.
-there is a large tree intersecting with short final to RWY 11 which certainly is not there IRL

It all looks like nobody at Asobo even looked at it or quality checked this messy and unfinished scenery before release.

(Orbx mesh was never installed here, so not an issue. 3rd party airport scenery is not installed either. Rolling cache was manually deleted with WU12)

Add the fact that when using live weather, you get 90% of the year snow covered Milford Sound, even if outside temps are above 20°C…

Indeed, very annoying, especially after years still not being fixed, but that problem lies in the weather department. The post WU12 mess in the scenery is in the scenery department.

Same here, but with Auckland - and with the help of other posts I’ve come to the conclusion that photogrammetry makes the scenery look better from the usual altitudes than autogen but fails (badly) when you get close. That especially applies to buildings & structures, and I’d hope not so much with scenery. Very disappointing but helps to know the limitations. The hoopla about a World Update is much overdone and that’s a fact.

In the main WU12 topic someone was singing the praises about how great Milford Sound is.

Yet when you look at the screenshot provided, the tall hill next to the airporr looks like Bob Ross has painted it with his “wet” brush technique.

The eye of the beholder!

I was flying at Milford Sound yesterday on xbox. I didn’t have issues with parking or firetrucks.

I didn’t spot the ghost airport but there was snow everywhere, in the middle of summer, so that was certainly amiss. I did see the two windsocks just apart from each other and they were pointing exactly in opposite directions, which frankly looked bizarre. I took a screenshot of that one.

I did have issues with the tall trees at the end of rwy 11. I didn’t see water going up mountains but I did find some of the nearby mountains to be extremely low resolution, with giant smooth roundish surfaces that looked completely out of place, and then as I got closer they became posterized with really ugly coulour bands and pixelation that would make Minecraft look like it was 4k.

Certainly not quite what I was hoping for at an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Only seen it on You Tube - shockingly bad! I’m going there today to have a look for myself.
