Before posting this as a bug, I just wanted to check with others if what I am seeing is common.
The thunderstorm cells in the weather radar echo map are moving away with the ground speed double that of my aircraft, instead of being more or less static and appearing ever closer as the aircraft is approaching them. Software-wise, it would be as simple as a wrong minus sign in the formula which calculates the echo map offset between two frames.
I have seen this consistently, in live weather. I have a video which I can/will post on YT, but this is also easy to replicate. Just find an area with TS and fly at perhaps FL200, and observe how the echos move.
So, has anybody observed this already?
