Wy’East Virtual Airlines — From the Mountain. To the World

I’m excited to announce the launch of Wy’East Virtual Airlines (WYE / WY), a new virtual airline inspired by the Pacific Northwest and based primarily out of Portland (PDX), with additional focus cities in Boise (BOI) and San Diego (SAN). Wy’East Virtual Airlines is built around flexible realism: no minimum monthly hours, no aircraft restrictions by rank, and the freedom to fly when and how you want—whether that’s a quick regional hop or a long-haul ocean crossing. Our route network focuses on the West Coast, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and select domestic long-haul destinations, all guided by a clean, modern brand identity and the philosophy “From the Mountain. To the World.”

Operationally, Wy’East Virtual Airlines is powered by FlightLinq, which provides robust ACARS tracking, automated PIREPs, live flight monitoring, and a polished pilot portal without unnecessary friction. In addition to standard ACARS functionality, FlightLinq currently supports advanced aircraft management, including simulated maintenance and airframe tracking, with a full financial and economic system planned for future release. This allows Wy’East Virtual Airlines to offer a deeply detailed and immersive virtual airline experience—while still keeping the day-to-day flying environment relaxed, flexible, and fun.

Our current fleet includes the CRJ-700ER, Boeing 737-800, Airbus A320, and Airbus A321ceo, with professional, high-quality custom repaints for all aircraft coming online over the next several weeks. Looking ahead, we plan to expand operations in early 2026 with the A321neo and A330, opening the door to longer-range and higher-capacity flying.

If this sounds like your kind of VA, applications are now open. You can learn more about our operations, fleet, routes, and philosophy—or apply to fly with us—at www.WyEastVirtual.com. Whether you’re a casual simmer or a seasoned long-haul pilot, we’d be glad to have you on the line.

CEO - Wy’East Virtual Airlines

Even though we are early in our launch, we’re excited to announce the addition of two new cross-border destinations to the Wy’East Airlines route map: Vancouver, BC (CYVR) and Victoria, BC (CYYJ). These new routes further strengthen Portland’s role as our primary hub while expanding convenient access to the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.

Service between Portland (KPDX) and Vancouver (CYVR) will operate up to four times daily using our 737-800 and A320 fleet, offering high-frequency service ideal for both business and leisure travelers. In addition, Portland (KPDX) to Victoria (CYYJ) will launch with twice-daily CRJ-700 service, providing a comfortable, right-sized connection to Vancouver Island.

These routes mark an important step in our continued growth, bringing Wy’East’s signature West Coast experience to Canada while enhancing connectivity across our network. We look forward to welcoming you onboard as we continue to expand from the Mountain, to the World.

As an update, we have finally released our liveries for the Aerosoft CRJ-700, PMDG 737-800, along with the Fenix 320 and 321!

We will plan in Q1 to add the Ini A321N and A330 for long-haul operations.

In Q2 we will plan to expand our direct flights to smaller airports with the Synaptic A220-300. We are also considering cargo operations with support for the PMDG 737 freighter and TFDI MD-11; along with possible executive charter operations.

We are based on the FlightLinq platform, which we are excited to update has also begun to roll out its financial and economic simulation! As of now routes all have dynamic demands and loads to carry. This will soon be rolled into profit and costs as well. In the future there will also be an individual career progression, so our pilots can grow along with our airline.

Hello Hunter.

I’m interested in. Your Airline. I’ve been in Flight Sims since FS 98! I’m on Xbox X.Retired, live in Alaska.

Rich

Rich!

Thanks for the interest! For now the FlightLinq platform we use is only available on PC for flight logging. We don’t have the ability to have manual ACARS logging at this time to support console (Xbox and Playstation) flights. I’ll reach out to the devs to see if this is planned in the future!

We’ve officially added two new aircraft types to our fleet and route network:

  • Airbus A321neo (A321N)
  • Airbus A330-200

With those additions, we’ve also refreshed and expanded our schedule:

Hawaii Operations (now A321neo)

All Hawaii flying is now operated by the A321neo:

  • KPDX–PHOG
  • KSAN–PHOG
  • KPDX–PHNL
  • KSAN–PHNL

New Daily Transcons (A321-200)

New daily A321-200 transcon flying:

  • KPDX–KJFK
  • KPDX–KBOS
  • KPDX–KIAD
  • KSAN–KJFK
  • KSAN–KBOS

New Long-Haul International (A330-200 from KPDX)

Our A330-200 network launches with:

  • KPDX–ICN (year-round)
  • KPDX–TPE (year-round)
  • KPDX–NRT (year-round)
  • KPDX–LHR (year-round)
  • KPDX–FCO (seasonal)

Repaints (iniBuilds) — In Progress

We’re actively working on official Wy’East repaints for the iniBuilds A321neo and A330-200, with a goal to have them released within the next month. The Fenix A321neo will follow once released.

We expect to expand our point-to-point network in Q2 with the addition of the Synaptic A220-300, along with cargo operations.

How about some routes for the ERJ-175 and the Cessna 408?

I would be very interested in those types of routes.

Great suggestions!

The ERJ-175 can be already be model matched to fly all the current CRJ-700 routes, as far as I know. If we get enough inertia/use will get it repainted.

FlightLinq has just rolled out the financial and economic beta. It is quite realistic, and short haul is very hard to get profitable. Since we are going to acquire the A220-300 in Q2, adding the ERJ officially into the fleet gets kinda stuck between the CRJ and A220. Though, as the FSS ERJ get better we may decide to just rotate over to that.

Cargo we will be looking at the 408, 738F, and MD11F. Likely in Q2 for repaints (Fenix A321N and the A220-300 will be priority), sooner on the actual route deployment.

For the 408, depending on the financial modeling for profit, we’d target probably the following routes:

  • PDX–Boise Airport (BOI) (vs 738F)
  • PDX–Spokane International Airport (GEG) (vs 738F)
  • PDX–Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) (vs 738F)
  • PDX–Mahlon Sweet Field (EUG) (vs 738F)
  • PDX–Rogue Valley International–Medford Airport (MFR)
  • PDX–Astoria Regional Airport (AST)
  • PDX–Newport Municipal Airport (ONP)
  • PDX–Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH)
  • PDX–Eastern Oregon Regional Airport (PDT)
  • PDX–Ontario Municipal Airport (ONO)
  • PDX–Burns Municipal Airport (BNO)
  • PDX–Lake County Airport (LKV)
  • PDX–La Grande/Union County Airport (LGD)

We have also just released a cabin annoucement soundpack for the airline - based off the Fenix announcements but compatible with with universal annoucement mod.

Included announcements:
– Boarding welcome + boarding door closed
– Pre-safety briefing prompt
– Safety briefing (generic)
– Arm / disarm doors
– Crew seats for takeoff + landing
– After takeoff
– Seatbelt sign ON (turbulence)
– Seatbelt sign ON (descent / arrival prep)
– After landing (generic + Portland-specific)
– Disembarking
– 5x PNW inspired songs for boarding music

Available on our website, or the cabin announcements discord. In the future will add specific ones for each aircraft, major hubs/focus cities, and eventually time of day.
