XB: Quick Resume not working

I have the problem on my XB Series X, that the XB Quick Resume feature doesn’t work in this game, but it should, as some other friends can use it and also Digital Foundry has metioned it in their test video. So what may be thre problem here?

I hope somebody knows the answer. I am having same issues on series s. I cleared my quick resume, and did a full shutdown from settings menu. Still does not work. The game won’t show up in quick resume menu.

Confirm . Not working for me . I’m using VRR. I’m not sure if that’s related to the issue . Would be great if This could be investigated further .

Same here. Ascent not working too for me.

Also on Series X and no quick resume. I just received a update today (7/30/21) for the game and it didn’t fix it. I have also tried clearing all of my quick resume game cache which didn’t help. I would love an answer because this is literally the perfect game for quick resume. At least for me I love the idea of taking a break from another game and resuming a flight to relax without having to wait the minute plus it takes to load.

Please! Please fix quick resume or give some way to resume long flight plans! Agreed, this is the biggest issue I have… otherwise, amazing

No, just on Gamepass

Quick resume works for me on Series X.

Always comes up with a message about losing online connection, but reconnects after 30 seconds or so.

for some reasons quick resume is beginning to start not working more and more often.
of course it cannot resume after a crash, but it happens e.g. that it will break with the resume if WIFI is not 100% up after console start and it takes many like 5-6 retries to convince FS2020 to start after a broken resume.
nothing else really changed on the Series X since 2 weeks I suppose.

Can you connect your Xbox with an ethernet cable instead of Wifi?

At home, on my Xbox series X, I never had a problem with the Quick resume. On the other hand, I had data loss (logbook, progress) which it seems were related to connection problems.
I was using CPLs and it worked quite well. But I had loss of connection, especially in the evenings, weekends and Wednesdays. I redid my installation and now I have a real wired Cat.7 network (with gigabit switches to distribute to devices). And surprise! since this change I no longer have any disconnection problem or loss of data :sunglasses:.

MSFS is exchanging a lot of data and I suspect that the WIFI or CPL connections on the Xbox are not well suited for intensive use while playing.

Try to use a cable instead of WIFI, I’m quite sure it will help to resolve this problem.

there is no simple way to wire my Xbox and TV in my living room. And it worked fine with WIFI the last weeks. Using connected standby may also be a workaround.
So I am thinking hard what may have changed and the only thing I remember is the ship and vessel core stuff from the market place. Will remove it soon and see.
