Apologies if i place this on the wrong place i rarely use forums. But as it says in the tittle, is anyone else who is trying to play 2024 notice the controls are messed up and nothing like its predecessor? its so horrible i barely manage to taxi down the runway. i am unsure if i messed something up when first starting but im leaving this thread incase someone figured it out or if the controls came this broken with cloud gaming.
I don’t know what is wrong but I played for 10min today on cloud gaming and when I get to fly the airplane the controller doesn’t do ■■■■to the airplane and then goes to keyboard but I don’t even have one
I don’t know how yall even got past the loading screen
I logged on like 5 min after the game released
im right now on the same boat as yours. I have a theory that the devs only binded some controls but not all of them. the game thinks im playing with a PC because it also asks me to press TAB, Q to freecam and more Keyboard keys instead of controller buttons. i just hope they fix whatever the heck is going on soon cause i really wanna play before my expensive gamepass ultimate expires.
I just played with the controller, got a keyboard I had in my garage connected it and it went back to the controller
Yes. Same here. Really horrible experience. After so many Years Xbox Cloud Gaming did not really improve peripherals. It is so disappointing, I will surely quit the service because of this poor customer service for several years now.

I have been using a wired Xbox One controller with Xbox Cloud Gaming and it have worked perfect with every game.
But with MSFS2024 is does not respond at all. Can’t even press start after loading is complete.

Yes. There is only a cursor shown at the top left. I cannot start the game via Cloud Service and Xbox Controller either. This is really unbelievable.

For me sometimes it work good when an usb cord is connected sometimes when you disconnect it it’s I don’t know how it works but I am played career mode for am hour or two
Same. The controls require a keyboard but game doesn’t accept any input from it. I can’t even unpause the game.
I have the same issue, Xbox controller is messed up in cloud gaming. It defaults to keyboard randomly. Please report, I did a couple times.

yes i am also having this issue when i started my career for the first flight the controls were showing for the pc not for xbox controller and they have done it very bad for controls the msfs 2020 was better in controls of the aircraft
Yes really weird. I have only a controller and yesterday a message popped-up that my throttle was in a locked mode (flying the caravan) and that I need to push a keyboard button. Which I don’t have…
please developers change this settings for the xbox controller it is very hard to control the aircraft in this sim
